What did Shinsuke whisper to Seth?

It was a great promo. I have some hope Shinsuke will win now but maybe I'm a sucker.

I loved every bit of that promo from last night, it's precisely the kind of intensity and power Nakamura has always had but never was really given the opportunity to display simply due to the shortsighted creative making the non-native English speakers struggled with to connect with the audience. Just like how Iyo/Io was able to build her persona in NXT with subtitled promos, this is the kind of work that should really be all that is necessary to make Nakamura a legit contender for the title, one that I personally feel would be both a long-time coming as well as deserved for someone who struggled to connect with the audience after they dropped the ball during his last drive in the main event (seriously folks, it's been damned near SIX YEARS since his last back in 2017).

Yeah, I looooved this. The normal issue of Seth never really doing anything to turn face aside - this is the land of the hypocritical face, so Seth "invading Edge's home"/"taunting Riddle for his family problems" Rollins getting mad at Nakamura mentioning his family is expected - letting Nakamura be cool as hell again is what I've been dying for. He has off-the-charts charisma and the ability to get over just on how he carries himself, but I also love the simple idea of letting him cut promos in Japanese in pre-tapes and speaking English for punctuation so his natural personality can come through in tone and content. Nakamura as a guy who embraces being weird as a tactic to get what he wants and hide his motivations is great. A guy who lets you think he's being random and goofing around as he sits back and moves the pieces, who can, if motivated, outwork you and knock you out, that's a perfect foil for Dresses Weird and Laughs Seth Rollins, who puts on a show of a similar character but has let himself be driven into the ground by his own insane work ethic. Gimme Rollins forced to drop the facade and fight from behind against someone he can't figure out while Nakamura goes back to being the Axe-Gang Leader type he built himself on, the guy who was my favorite wrestler on the planet for a while there.

I'd love them to put the belt on Nakamura, even if just through the fall. A real Rollins/Nakamura program would solidify it as the workhorse title, bring out the best in both of them, and that belt would look rad on Shinsuke.
