would greatly enjoy E&C as the statler and waldorf of AEW. Just two irredeemable old shit bags coming out and insulting people for no real reason other than being the world's biggest missers and haters

Please elevate Page or Swerve to the main event scene next.
AEW is getting as bad as TNA was with showcasing the debuting former WWE stars as the biggest deal.
I guess Darbs is in the main event this time, but like.... Is it because he's that big a star, or because they need to end the show with Edge debuting?

Darby is from Seattle so he has the hometown pop going for him as well.

oh god Bleacher Report and I had a real war brewing over me ordering this one, the payment option I used for All In and All Out with no issues apparently wasn't good enough this time around. Damn, lol. They are probably questioning why there was 3 so close together too haha

Starting to think we get both Edge and Mercedes tomorrow, given the continued new era hype.

What could honor Inoki more than a main event 2 out of 3 falls match between *checks notes* Darby Allin and Christian Cage for a midcard title best known the last several months as a comedy prop It’s the obvious main event

It's a long built feud with two guys that are over so it's a fine main event. Plus you pick your main event based on what message you want to send as you end your show. If there's a plan to debut Edge in some big angle - go with that to end it. You could've main evented with Punk/Darby at All Out 2021 but that wouldn't have made sense given what was coming after Christian/Omega.

My gut tells me that Mox was originally supposed to wrestle Barnett for the International Title but the concussion got in the way so they went with this.

If Christian/Darby is main eventing, something tells Me Edge is going to be involved in the match

Too many matches on the Pre-Show. 2 would've been sufficient.

Are people just being f***ing dense with the Inoki stuff? He was 79 years old when he passed away, who were people expecting to be in the main event, or the card in general, that's closely affiliated with him? Barnett would have likely faced Mox, as already pointed out, bearing in mind there was the story about a non AEW wrestler set to confront him after the Grand Slam match, but who else were people expecting? It's a tribute show to him as it marks the anniversary of his passing, but it's an AEW PPV, it will mostly feature AEW feuds and matches.
Really looking forward to this and hoping it lifts the horrendous f***ing mood I'm in.

This most pumped I've been for a show (from a card perspective) since Forbidden Door II. It's like they've booked a card personally for me and what I'd like to see.
AEW's ppv record in 2023 really has been great. Builds aside but I'd say Double or Nothing was the only show that was close to average. Revolution massively over delivered and was talked about as a top 3 all time AEW ppv at the time. FDII needs no explaining, all time great ppv period. All In similar, more atmosphere and occasion then card that show but still huge. And All Out similar to Revolution massively over delivered and had arguably 3 five star matches. Double or Nothing comfortably weakest but was saved by the double main event.
2023 easily been the strongest ppv year they've done. I'm sure Wrestledream will deliever too. Then it's just Full Gear and you potentially looking at the GOAT year of ppvs from a wrestling company

Collision actually makes much more sense obviously for a name but considering the tv show that is out.
