Right now, Jey taking on his bitch brother is, in no shape or form, a 'mania worthy match. Of course it is. Listen to the crowd reaction for their segment on Smackdown after Summerslam. It will be very over. Not at this the moment and not with how Jimmy has been presented so far, it looks like Jimmy is going to go back to being Romans goon and so far, dude hasn't looked like a big deal, while Jey looks to be getting a big singles push and has been treated like a big deal. They need to make Jimmy look a lot better than they did in the last week to make this worthy of being on the card for 'mania.

It was really nice of Cody to forgive Jey for the whole screwing him at WrestleMania thing.

It was really nice of Cody to forgive Jey for the whole screwing him at WrestleMania thing. I’d love to see how unworkable pro wrestling babyfacing would be if nobody forgave anybody for anything. Even Rhodes has his skeletons from spending the majority of his first run in WWE as a heel (mid 2008-mid 2013, mid 2014-exit… hell, that second heel turn was ON The Usos).

They are clearly setting up Jey vs Jimm(m)y for WrestleMania so they have to kill a lot of time before that. I would have kept him off TV a lot longer. With that said, Jey is super over as a face.

I'm largely fine with it, I just hope it gets more explicitly addressed. My biggest issue with Jey's turn has been him doing a ton of awful things and largely just moving on from it without addressing it.

It was really nice of Cody to forgive Jey for the whole screwing him at WrestleMania thing. To be fair, Jey has broken away from The Bloodline, and Solo was the one that really screwed Cody, who had a plan for when the Usos did try to interfere in the match.

Can't believe Grayson said Jey's never accomplished anything solo. Does the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal mean nothing to this man?!
... Yeah, doesn't to me either.

Of course Cody kept saying he really hoped he didn't regret it. Wonder if that leads anywhere?

Miz and LA Knight have been on both shows this month so I kind of just assumed the brand split was phased out. I guess it still exists in some form? Jey was the player to be named later in the Rey trade. Actually now that I look at it, they only traded letters.

We don’t know where the Jimmy/Roman stuff is going. It’s been a week. There’s more than enough story for them to draw on in the build. The fans would be there for it immediately.

Really liking the idea of Jey as IC Champion. He can pull it off.

Really liking the idea of Jey as IC Champion. He can pull it off. Could see it play out tomorrow where Gunther retains versus Gable, but eats a superkick after a match from Jey.

Not remotely interested in seeing him get a 'beating Gunther' level of push, but hanging around until eventual brother vs brother match and then eventual reunion, sure.

Cody worked his magic on the Waller Effect. Jey is back, with a new theme and a solo run. I assume this is how Cody ends up on Smackdown? He’s sent there in exchange for Jey on Raw. Yeah the way commentary pointed out that Cody said 'I hope this works/is worth it' seems like they're planting the early seed of Cody going over to Smackdown to go after Roman again.

I just like the idea of Cody being a swell guy as a babyface who helps reunite best friends and gets wrestlers who quit a new job

Given history, there's two ways this goes. One is for Jimmy to fight Roman in a match and lose after Solo interferes and go back to being Roman's goon. Alternately, he just goes back to being Roman's goon without a match.
