I see it going to be a Cody Rhodes/LA Knight final 2 at the Rumble. A face vs face feud match with Cody at Elimination Chamber ending in Roman shenanigans, and a triple threat with Roman at Mania 40. Roman loses the titles without being pinned. Whichever face wins will face Roman at Summerslam in a singles match and get the big win on him there. At this point, Roman needs to lose the belts himself. After 3 years of relying on interference to save his ass, he needs to be beaten, not just lose by technicality.

I hope the dude is alright. Can’t take this stuff lightly after Bray, but it would be cool to see him as Cena’s tag partner. I can see it being him vs Roman at Crown jewel

Dude has Covid and that is why he missed the show.

the drawn out heat ending is somewhat understandable now since Knight was meant to do the save.

It's weird that came out so quickly. Usually they keep COVID stuff under wraps.

That really sucks
Not just for LA Knight as I hope he makes a full recovery, but for the fact that WWE's backup plan to this was just "Have AJ Styles and John Cena get their asses beat by The Bloodline for literally 20 minutes"... was not fun to watch lol

Or, if Cena must absolutely go on last, just run the actual tag match that was promised and have that end in a much shorter (less boring) beat down after a DQ.
Anyhow, Hope Knight gets all better soon.

At this rate, honestly, with the way the show is advertised.
Just make it a "mystery partner" and Cena vs. Bloodline.
So LA gets the shock pop at the show. It's been a while since we've had a mystery partner reveal too.

Apparently they were offering refunds for house shows over him not being on the card, which is a thing WWE usually only does with like really big names so that kind of goes to show how high they are on him right now.

Pretty sure that Knight is going to be tagging with Cena in Indy and Jimmmy Uso is getting pinned by LA, to set up a match with Roman.

I expect Knight to be on the losing team against team Roman at Survivor Series but with Cena getting pinned as he can't get his hand normally raised against Roman,. It won't hurt him, Knight's taste of the main event will lead to a U.S title pay-off at 'Mania and then they can build him slowly as a champion over the next year before setting up to feud with the consolation World title on RAW or something. He won't touch Roman again.

He won't touch Roman again. Oh no, it absolutely will hurt him. The WWE does this all the time. They stumble onto somebody who gets white hot without any real help from the company itself, and since he doesn't fit into their long-term plans that they made years ago and absolutely refuse to deviate from, they give him a title shot on a secondary PPV, he loses, they claim "he looks good in defeat" (even thought he usually doesn't), and have no real plans to follow up on it. Then when the fans realize it's not leading to anything they lose interest, and when WWE finally gets around to doing something interesting with him again, nobody cares anymore and Vince or Triple H will just dismiss it by saying "well he just didn't have the 'it' factor" or something. They did it with Braun Strowman, they did it with Ryback, they did it with Dolph Ziggler, they did it with Zack Ryder, they tried to do it with Daniel Bryan, they will do it with LA Knight if given the chance. The smart thing for the WWE to do right now is throw whatever plans they had from now to WrestleMania into the crapper, have Cody win the title from Roman at Survivor Series ("finish telling the story"), drop it back to Roman at the Rumble, and have Knight win the Rumble and beat Roman for the belt at WrestleMania. Give Knight a feud with John Cena in the mean time. Anything else is wasting Knight and leaving money on the table.

I don’t think a guy like Knight needs to be winning the belt from Roman or else he’s being wasted. Nothing wrong with a slow burn, he’s still very new to WWE TV. If he really needs a world title asap, then have Cody move to Smackdown and eventually challenge Reigns at Mania. Have Knight win the Rumble and he challenges a heel Raw world champion at Mania (Gunther?).

If that's the case then he shouldn't be having interactions with Heyman or the Bloodline or teasing a match with Roman. If he has a title match with Roman and loses, then the fans will lose interest in him and all the heat and momentum he has now will be flushed down the toilet. It's happened before, it will happen again.

He’s extremely over, much like Cody, and Cody was fine after losing to Roman because he was still pushed as a focal point.
