What if Punk never got injured/brawl out didn’t happen

What would have happened if Punk just went off at the scrum, but he wasn’t injured and the brawl never happened afterwards? Would punk still have been world champion like nothing ever happened, would him and MJF do a double turn? Would the scrum be acknowledged?

In this hypothetical:

Punk goes off in the scrum
He doesn’t get in a fight with the elite after
He doesn’t get injured
He just lets shit go and behaves himself after

seemed like they were building to a double turn eventually seeing as MJF did go face in time but really, who knows?

this all started because of hangman making a promo that I shit you not, at the time I had no idea even 1% of it was based in reality. not even a hint and that went on to have all of this happen. if something that insignificant and seemingly based in storyline led to all this happening because of punk being a psychopath, who is to say someone eating ribs backstage wouldn't have caused even worse shit to happen

If I'm getting it right, so what if rant he on did happen but not the fight with the Bucks and was behaved after it and didn't get hurt. I can see the double turn with MJF. We may gotten Omega vs. Punk at All in if not sooner. I can also seeing something else triggering him as someone said. How the stuff with Perry and Tony went down, it seems like he had a lot of issues backstage.

As someone with biploar disorder, I can see a lot of the same destructive traits I had when not taking medication/getting help. I think he would have self-sabatoged anyways.


I hope he can one day see that he likely needs help. The biggest difference I saw after going on medication is the small things that would work me up basically became meaningless to me after treatment. I stopped seeing everything as a personal attack on me and was better able to rationalize other people's thoughts and actions.

It is fascinating to "what if" this because what if Punk's (poorly executed in our timeline) master plan of running the Elite out so he could "run a business here" with TK in full on submissive bitch-mode had come to fruition?

What would that AEW look like a year, two years down the line, and evolution of how it got there.

"Not good" is the most likely answer, but it's crazy to think about how it would have played out with Punk's tendency to flat out lie about damn near everything, and being volatile at well...just about damn near everything.

Regardless CM Punk is a walking powder keg, except he doesn't need a spark to blow up, a light wind will do the job just fine.

So as others have said, it would have been something.

But, again, interesting to think about that personality getting what he wanted, and gaining more power.

If he was barring people from his show, and stopping spots that had already been cleared, how insane would it have been on a company level. How long until TK was powerless to do ANYTHING?

I think the scrum in itself was too combustible that even had the fight afterwards not happened, something or many things would have come out if it. In any hypothetical situation Punk will Punk.

Cody staying would have been terrible. In that scenario, the colt rumors probably still fly. The question is would Hangman have shot in the promo if Cody was still around. We don’t know the inner workings of their dynamics. If hangman would have shot..ooh boy. The drama would/could have been 10x worse with Cody there. It’s possible it would have been those two (Cody & Phil) at the forefront of the drama.

My favorite hypothetical is “What if Hangman had stayed and been there during the Scrum. Do the bucks go? Does hangman? How would that have affected things?
