Or maybe the people that know and work with Nia know better than the fans with pitchforks that come at her? So fans have to have a similar experience or be in the same profession to have an opinion that she is clearly careless and reckless in the ring? No one as far as I can tell is talking anything about her that isn't out there publicly....no one is crticizing her as a person (unless it is about her views on certain issues). Asuka can defend her friend as strongly as she wants to but it wont change that her friend in ring is a reckless dangerous oaf of a wrestler. Even putting aside her views on issues, people have most definitely taken shots at her personally in order to paint her as someone that others in the locker room hate and saying things like she’s remorseless for times she did injure others (merely based on her Twitter posts on the subject, without knowledge of how she dealt with the actual person injured backstage). And yes, people that work with someone typically know better how actually reckless someone is being. Just from her two minute return, you have people talking about how she was injuring Rhea by pulling her by the neck, slapping her, the way she executed the Bonsai drop, etc. with no actual reports of Rhea being hurt or that they didn’t pre-plan the way the spots would be executed.

Nia couldn’t have asked for a better person to stick up for her than Asuka!
Asuka’s biggest fans are some of Nia’s biggest detractors so some of the message boards and social media are very interesting right now lol

Will speculate wildly and say that due to poorer booking, less tv time and stress from creepy fans (and the odd co-worker) theres probably an “all for one and one for all” siege mentally in the women’s locker room.
As I alluded to before if a male wrestler had a track record of causing injury at the same rate then the locker room leaders for the guys such as Roman, KO and Cody would have “strong opinions” about it.

I really don't care how liked she is backstage or how many people backstage excuse her recklessness. I have two eyes and they could easily see how immobile and terrible she was in the ring and how dangerous she was to other wrestlers. It's all nice and good to say that as wrestlers you expect to take bumps and bruises but when someone has a record of injuring multiple people in a relatively small amount of time, then you're looking at someone who shouldn't be tasked with keeping others safe in the ring. She's flat out terrible in the ring, that's all that matters here.
I'm glad Kairi and Asuka can forgive her or are friends of hers, but I think we've seen recently that just because someone has a lot of friends, that doesn't excuse their shitty behavior. (and no, I'm not comparing anything she's done inside or outside the ring to Danny Masterson's exploits, just pointing out the obvious)

Nia Jax is equivalent to Game of Thrones Season 8.

Yeah, I really don't give a shit how other wrestlers feel about her, she sucks both as a person and as a performer.

Yeah, I really don't give a shit how other wrestlers feel about her, she sucks both as a person and as a performer. It’s a relevant point when “What the talents think” is something used to fuel that hatred for many people. Like, openly projecting stuff onto them, even. And it’s not just with Nia Jax, either, but since the thread is about her, we’ll limit this to her. Take the stuff with Kairi Sane for example. You know who’s never said a word about any of this? Kairi Sane. And it’s not like she’s had any obligation to keep quiet after the year or so she was still on the payroll in some ambassadorial role back in Japan. At any time, someone could’ve asked her “Nia Jax, what’s the deal there?” and if she’d said anything that would have fed these opinions, we’d have heard about it for sure. As far as I can tell, nobody’s even asked, and I don’t think there’s ever been some “Don’t ever ask her about this” block on the matter. I know it’s sound like I’m defending Jax here, but I’m not. I just want some narratives laid out to see how 1 + 1 = “Kairi Sane left WWE and the United States as a whole, explicitly because of Nia Jax”.

KAIRI may not want to talk about it and instead just move on with things she doesn't seem atleast outwardly a person who wants any negativity in her life so she probably just always forgives no matter what.
Again to reiterate what some have already said and myself if Nia's co-workers like her as a person that is all well an good my issue is not with her and how she interacts with people outside the ring that is whatever.
None of it changes the fact this oaf is a careless , wreckless talent that from repeated history should not be anywhere near a ring as a competitor.

I feel like Nia Jax could have been something special once upon a time, but she was given too much too fast, probably due to beginning late in addition to the family connection and her size, and she never was taught discipline. She was significantly worse when she got back from major injury, when before hand, you got flashes of something respectable like her giving Rousey one of her better matches.
But instead, she sort of feels like the Ahmed Johnson of WWE women's wrestling, like even more than Chyna sometimes was.

Yeah, Kairi didn't say a thing in public when Nanae tried to cave her face in on purpose. She might just be used to dealing with unprofessional assholes.

Yeah. Both KAIRI and Iyo rarely (if ever) have anything negative to say about anyone. I don't think KAIRI has ever thrown anyone under the bus (at least intentionally/knowingly) and Iyo has only done it once as far as I know, with Drake Wuertz. Even though she had the opportunity to do it multiple times and has gotten sorta irritated with some fans before, when they use her real name to try and get attention.

Stevie Richards posted a video absolutely hammering the return segment, I thought the Banzai Drop looked snug but when he highlights the issues with it yeah I'm amazed that didn't break some ribs.

I feel bad for Rhea if she's going to have to attempt to get watchable matches out of Nia. She was pretty decent around 2016-18 but she was absolutely terrible in her last few years.

Just got done watching it and he says alot of what most have said the night she returned. And I did not even think of the breast implant thing he brought up which was another great angle to everything he was talking about.

Nia's alignment is also confusing like he said, since she attacked Raquel, then Ripley, who's a part of a top heel stable, multiple times.

We'll see where it goes but I don't mind it as Rhea looked vulnerable for the first time in a long time and has to fight someone bigger than her.

She managed to have a 2021 match with her on Raw that was conspicuously better than Nia's other matches around that time, but having to do that again in 2023 feels like a needless challenge.
