Can't say I'm broken up about maybe the worst viewed RAW in history being Nia Jax's return though... Same here, but not giving Nia Holely unwarranted blame. I wasn't blaming her for the low rating I said it was fitting the rating was the lowest ever for her return, because of how vehemently I disagree with signing her back. She isn't the reason for the low rating given she was a surprise debut at the tail end, but it's deserved that her grand return was watched by the least amount of people for a RAW ever.

Correction, it was the highest rated MNF game in history. Zach Wilson being a part of the highest rated MNF game ever is gonna be some crazy trivia question one day

Rodgers debut was always going to crush it. The drama surrounding his immediate career threatening injury sunk it all the way. When the entire internet starts talking about an event (the injury) at the same time…people turn it on. Even the Raw thread was talking about it. Stuff like that will crush Raw in the ratings.

People are tired of tuning in each week hoping for an Aliyah return and not getting it.

There's always talk about how there isn't one massive thing in the cultural zeitgeist that EVERYONE is hooked into, just because of how fragmented media has become over the course of the 2000s. But the closest thing to being that these days has to be the NFL.

At this point the biggest cultural zeitgeist is One Piece

I just don't get the foosball. Or real sports in general.
But I also tend to just turn off RAW at like 9:30 to 10:00, or whenever Gunther's match is finished. So maybe I don't really get RAW either.

Me when the NFL is on and everyone is talking about it. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get into American football.

I think that Aaron Rodgers' first start for the Jets had a lot of intrigue from the jump, and then him getting horribly injured on his 4th play as a Jet only increased that intrigue.
It doesn't help that RAW is as stale as a saltine in the sun, but this rating is definitely an outlier and an anomaly.

That said, I'm expecting a pretty large DVR+3 for this episode, though.

I'm an American who spent a nice handful of years watching games regularly, but ever since I stopped going out on Sundays to watch all the games with friends the sport has lost a lot of allure for me. It works as an event to get people together to go out or meet at someone's place for snacks and drinks and whatnot, and I know it's very easy to gamble along to, but without the social aspect a lot of my interest in it has fallen pretty hard. I'm sure my local teams being crappy have helped that along, same as it did with NBA basketball around the New York City area, and I just much prefer baseball and hockey, but yeah, most weeks I've lost much interest in tuning in for the NFL that much...which does make so many people tuning in just to see Aaron Rodgers get hurt three and a half minute into a game and then stick around and keep watching incredibly fascinating.

And outside of the end, the game was really bad. Really sloppy play by both teams. I guess there was a car wreck factor where people wanted to see what would happen.

Does anybody have a list of the 10 lowest rating/viewership episodes of Raw across the show's entire history?
