It being on ESPN first does say there's a chance she'll actually be called "Jade Cargill" and not "Jade Storm" or "Jade Strong" or "Jade Shiny" or whatever because it'll seem they at least recognize a bit of her brand potential. |

It feels weird to announce it here and not with a surprise debut or anything. But perhaps this indicates that they'll take it relatively slowly with her so they thought this might be the better route for now.

The first homegrown AEW star to jump, and the signing gets announced on ESPN. I don't know why, but I think this signing could be big for WWE.
And if she is gonna work in the PC for awhile, my goodness, that's gonna do wonders for her. I've said it in the AEW section, but AEW needs a PC so people like Jade can have a central location to work and learn.

If she goes to the PC, I really don't think she should be there for an incredibly long time, tbh. She's not just someone that's been on AEW TV, she's been a focal point across all their shows. They should capitalize on that now. She would get just as much of an education working house shows in matches with Natalya, Becky, Charlotte and Bayley as she would in NXT.

I have no idea who she is. I get she's was a wrestler from AEW, but I don't watch AEW. Is she from something else that signing her is worthy of mainstream attention? She's got a big presence on social media on top of being one of AEW's top pushed female stars. You may not watch AEW, but enough people do that this is a pretty big hire. |

She’s not going to NXT, she’ll show up and body Becky, or Rhea or Iyo for a belt and then feud with the regulars. I’m like 97% sure they’re going to do the big deal, fairly quick gimmick with her.

I think the ESPN article was done exactly for this reason. They want you to realize she's a big deal and an international sports outlet covering her coming in is one way to do that. |
