Cole is injured.
Cole is the man behind the mask.
Both can be true.

Britt Baker’s pics are all part of the work. I will admit defeat on this subject when Tony Khan announces in an official capacity that Adam Cole is having surgery and will be out of action for approximately ___. Tony Khan has treated this “injury” different than others. I would explain but I would get attacked by going down the rabbit hole once again. So I will leave you with this…Britt Baker sending pics of a foot but not a foot & face/body of Adam Cole is telling. Beautiful.

Of course he's hurt. JR stabbed him with a pencil.
Wait, wrong thread, my bad.

I really think Britt Baker is behind the mask. I hope this ankle injury is a work because it could be the best story AEW has ever told.

I did think the person in the mask, being very slender and not getting physically involved, could well be Britt.
Think the whole thing is fascinating, not just who's involved but what the exact motivation is too. Think it was a brilliant ending to the show.

Cole said that he tore ligaments, so if he's torn his Achilles, that's the rest of the year out. Yeah, if it's his Achilles he's boned (pun not intended) for the year. That's what took out Aaron Rodgers and Kevin Durant. Well break out the Dolphin sex noises then

Britt would work as the mastermind behind it all, to be fair. I wouldn't be happy if my boyfriend was spending all of his spare time with MJF and setting MJF up is a very pro-wrestler way of thinking. Maybe she's Team Neck Strong and wants Cole to go back to his old friends.
I do think Cole's injury is legit though. It might not be as serious as they made it sound and they might try and work around it, but I don't think it's a work.

I’m not a fan of this guy but there are some other people who are buying into Cole not being hurt. I thought it was a work from moment one because it would spring forth sympathy for MJF as a face that would be amazing…it would last an entire year. The possible storylines being created of this is mind blowing. But again you all may be correct that this is a legit injury to Adam Cole and we could end up with same story so it’s no big deal. My apologies if I annoyed people with my posts on this subject I just got too excited. x.com/JDfromNY206/status/1707424190029021639?s=20

From Fightful Select
Adam Cole Update Adam Cole said that he had to have surgery, but many still doubted if he was actually injured.
Due to the nature of pro wrestling, many questioned if Adam Cole's injury was legitimate. DPW announcing his match against Chris Danger following the injury (they'd later say the match is off due to injury), and the masked men showing up at the end of Dynamite led some to suspect he wasn't injured.
The word within AEW is that he is legitimately scheduled for surgery and will be out for quite some time. When seen, he was wrapped and had crutches, and required help traveling. So if for some reason he wasn't hurt, everyone else isn't in on it.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
The hope within the AEW roster was that he simply sustained an ankle sprain, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Cole went to the hospital after the September 20 AEW Dynamite, and was seen on crutches shortly after. We've not been told if they plan on keeping Cole involved via vignettes or if he'll be factored into upcoming shows, but were told to "not expect him" in a live capacity on upcoming Dynamites and Collisions.

Well there we go...Hopefully it wont require a bunch of see i told ya's as this plays out. I do believe as well that this was the original plan though before the injury with Britt taking over now.

Shit, so he is having to go under the knife. This sucks, dude's been snakebit with injuries, having to miss time prior due to a concussion and now this.

Speaking of going outside, it's nice when that time of year rolls around when the weather begins to cool off a bit and you can go for a nice walk in the evening without having to suffer under that miserable, sweltering heat of the sun. ^^

Really sucks how freak injuries can truly be. Dude got hurt jumping from a ramp and landing wrong on his foot. A jump that was probably close to the equivalent to his Panama Sunrise... just rotten luck and shows how unpredictable injuries can really be You can do the craziest shit in ring and everyone's fine... most of the time it's the mundane spots or just moments like this, that can hurt someone. I'll always remember Orton tearing his shoulder simply taking trash out at his house.

Should point out the number of injuries that have happened to baseball players doing mundane things too. Joel Zumaya getting injured playing Guitar Hero, Sammy Sosa getting injured by sneezing, and Zack Wheeler getting injured while putting on a pair of pants.

It's the best. Same with taking walks early in the morning. I love getting up at like 5am and just walking for a few hours on the weekend.
