Here are my Smackdown Thoughts:
Incredible segment with John Cena, The Bloodline, & LA Knight. I loved the camera angle of Roman's reflection in LA's glasses. Knight VS Reigns will be great but I hope it doesn't ruin Knight. Knight VS Sikoa will be good. Technically Roman Reigns has been Universal Champion for 1139 Days. He's only been Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for 558 Days.
The Brawling Brutes VS Pretty Deadly was a fun match. I love Elton faking an injury to get the win. FACT: Butch & Ridge Holland were the 7th time in 2023 & the 1st since Butch on 9/19 & 9/22 that someone wrestled on both NXT & Smackdown in the same week. This was Elton Prince & Kit Wilson's 1st match since they defeated Ridge Holland & Sheamus on Smackdown on 7/14. It was the 2nd 2-on-2 Match between them after Smackdown on 5/19, which was also won by Pretty Deadly.
Good segment with Carlito, Bobby Lashley, & The Street Profits. For the record, Carlito & Bobby Lashley never wrestled each other 1-on-1 on Smackdown. They did wrestle each other on 2 live events with Lashley winning both.
OK segment to set-up Zelina Vega VS Bayley.
Interesting conversation between Roman Reigns & Jimmy Uso.
Zelina Vega VS Bayley was OK. Of course, Charlotte Flair had to stick her Botoxed nose into the match. FACT: This was Zelina Vega's 1st match since she lost to IYO SKY on 8/25. This was the 2nd 1-on-1 Match between them after Smackdown on 7/14, which was won by Bayley. It was Bayley's 1st win since she last defeated Zelina on Smackdown on 7/14.
Fun segment. It's always good to see Triple H. I like the idea of Adam Pearce on Raw & Nick Aldis on Smackdown as it leads to each show trying to be better than the other, which would lead to Survivor Series & make that more important. Dominik Mysterio coming out was great. The crowd was all over him. I love Triple H's comment about the boos being piped in. I like Kevin Owens being the wrestler that was traded for Jey Uso, which would add to the tension between Owens & Cody Rhodes, but that means that KO & Sami Zayn won't be together anymore. Also, we have already seen Owens VS Reigns multiple times.
Another interesting conversation with Roman Reigns & Jimmy Uso.

Wow. Nick Aldis has a busy night. Fun interaction with Chelsea Green & Piper Niven. Of course he gives Charlotte Flair a Title Match against IYO SKY next week. Why does she always have to be in the Championship feud. Interesting face-to-face with Charlotte & Jade Cargill.
Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso VS Austin Theory & Grayson Waller was a fun 2nd Tag Team Championship Defense. Love Cody & Jey running into The Bloodline & the stare down between them & Roman Reigns with Nick Aldis getting in the middle of them. FACT: This was the 1st Tag Team Championship Match on Smackdown since Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn VS Pretty Deadly on 6/30. It was the 1st time since Omos & AJ Styles defeated Elias & Jaxson Ryker on 6/1/21 & The Mysterios defeated The Usos on 6/4/21 that there was a Tag Team Championship Match on both Raw & Smackdown in the same week, but the 1st time the same team defended the Championship on both shows since Billy & Chuck defeated The Dudley Boyz on Raw on 3/18/02 & The Hardy Boyz on Smackdown on 3/21/02. This was Cody Rhodes' 1st Smackdown since he defeated Ludwig Kaiser on 3/24 & Jey Uso's 1st Smackdown since he defeated Solo Sikoa on 8/4, & they were the 39th & 40th wrestlers to wrestle on both Raw & Smackdown in the same week & the 1st since Finn Balor on 9/11 & 9/15. This was Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso's 2nd Tag Team Championship Defense, so if they would have lost, they would have been the 2nd Champions in a row after The Judgment Day to lose in their 2nd Defense. As of Smackdown, Rhodes & Uso's Reign has lasted 6 Days, which is the 3rd Shortest Raw Tag Team Championship Reign & 2nd Shortest Smackdown Tag Team Championship Reign. Next week's Smackdown sounds good. Charlotte Flair VS IYO SKY should be good even if I don't want to Flair getting another Women's Championship Match. Santos Escobar VS Montez Ford will be incredible.
LA Knight VS Solo Sikoa was awesome. I didn't mind Jimmy Uso & then John Cena, & then Roman Reigns with the Spear. FACT: LA Knight was the 2nd time this year after AJ Styles on 9/1 & 9/8 that someone wrestled Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa on back-to-back weeks on Smackdown. This was Solo Sikoa's 1st Smackdown since he defeated AJ Styles on 9/1. This was their 1st ever 1-on-1 Match. They did wrestle each other in a Triple Threat with Grayson Waller in NXT in 2021.

Here are my Level Up Thoughts:
This was the 1st time since 7/7 that Level Up had only 2 matches.
Ivy Nile VS Kiyah Saint was really good. Saint was impressive for her 2nd match. FACT: This was Ivy Nile's 1st Level Up since she defeated Izzi Dame on 9/22 & was Kiyah Saint's 1st Level Up since she lost to Kiana James on 8/25.
Good promo by Axiom.
Axiom VS Riley Osbourne was incredible. This match was taped last week but they taped a re-match this week, so they're going to run it back again & I can't wait. FACT: This was Axiom's 1st Level Up since he defeated Charlie Dempsey on 9/22 & he was the 4th time in 2023 & 1st since Akira Tozawa on 9/5 & 9/8 to wrestle on both Main Event & Level Up in the same week. It was Riley Osbourne's 1st Level Up since he lost to Myles Borne on 9/29.

Tonight's Season Premiere was the best episode of Smackdown of the Season. I enjoyed all of the matches. It was very newsworthy & a good way to start the build to Crown Jewel & Survivor Series. Level Up was really good.
