Not a side project, but didn’t want to start a thread just for this. This is a release by MC Hammer long after he was relevant:

I remember being told about this by a very weird man in an ill-fitting sweater at a punk gig who asked what I thought about the band, said "So you're indifferent", laughed, and then started talking about the Germs. Not sure why that experience has stayed with me.

Ah, Arcadia. If you’re one of those people who think “I like Duran Duran but I need something a little more pretentious” then Arcadia has you covered. Although to be honest, I’m a massive Duran Duran fan (seeing them live in their home city in 2005 on their reunion tour remains a highlight) and I have a soft spot for Arcadia. And although lyrically, it’s hilariously wanky, Election Day is still a favourite of mine.

Should have been bigger!! And god I wish lasted longer too!! I mean... Corgan's gonna Corgan. Yeah, he's a dumb asshole, but he's a dumb asshole who doesn't do anything he doesn't want to do and has his own, uhh, version of integrity, I guess.

I think part of it was him saying some of them had substance abuse issues and that was part of why he called it off, despite their record being modestly successful. Of course, I may be remembering wrong, and I am also not inclined to just assume he's the perfect source on this, regardless.

Nick Rhodes and original Duran Duran Front man Steven Duffy. And let's not forget the Power Station.

I believe Jimmy Chamberlin backed him up on this, too with some comments made. Basically accusing them of being indie posers. I got the impression that Billy felt the three non-Pumpkins didn't share his work ethic or attitude towards the music. The one official Zwan album is good, but the wealth of stuff left unreleased is mental. Just this from the band's debut show: Of the stuff in this video, only "El Sol" made the album. I think only about songs from the full set showed up on the album, overall. One of them was a cover, kinda. The second album would have been where stuff got really interesting with Zwan - that was set to be an acoustic album under "The Djali Zwan" with the concept of Multiple Zwans mentioned by Matt Sweeney on the DVD that came with the album coming to fruition. I think the only official Djali Zwan release was their cover of "Number of the Beast" as a B-side. Corgan has hinted there may be a Zwan boxset down the line, and had played Zwan songs live more recently, so he's not as bitter about that period as he was in the past.

Mike Patton has many side projects above is Mondo Cane album where he covers a bunch of Italian songs with an orchestra. And this one is more a side project of Nathaniel Merriweather aka Dan The Automator but Patton worked on it also with Jennifer Charles and other guests including fellow Gorillaz vocalist Damon Alban.. I think this Lovage album predates Gorillaz. Mannn That Loveage album was CLUTCH Back in the early 00s Automator/Prince Paul/Kool Keith and all were my shit
