Here are my Raw Thoughts:
Good opening segment with The Judgment Day & Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso. Rhodes VS Priest at Crown Jewel would have been great until Priest injured Rhodes' leg.
The New Day VS The Alpha Academy was an awesome match. I would love to see more between them. FACT: This is the 1st ever 2-on-2 Tag Team Match between The New Day & The Alpha Academy. This is The New Day's 1st 2-on-2 Tag Team Match since they lost to The Viking Raiders on Raw on 8/28. This was the 1st time that The New Day wrestled Chad Gable in a 2-on-2 Match since Big E & Kofi Kingston defeated Gable & Shelton Benjamin on Smackdown on 2/13/18, Woods & Kingston def Gable & Benjamin on Smackdown on 11/28/17 & Gable & Benjamin def Kingston & Woods on 10/24/17. This is the 1st time ever The New Day wrestled Otis in a 2-on-2 Tag Team Match.
Good promo by Becky Lynch. After thinking about it, I don't mind Indi Hartwell getting an NXT Women's Title Match. She never got her re-match after being forced to vacate the title.
Wow, A promo for Ivar. I wonder how long Erik will be out for.
Interesting segment with Rhea Ripley & Seth Rollins. Rhea is doing a lot of wheeling & dealing to get what The Judgment Day wants.
Wow, Tegan Nox's hurt. I hope she will be OK. OK segment with Indi Hartwell, Candice LeRae, & Natalya.
Becky Lynch VS Indi Hartwell was excellent between even though the result was obvious. Indi showed that she deserved that opportunity. Good face off between her & Lyra Valkyria. Looking forward to NXT. FACT: This was Becky Lynch's 4th Women's Championship Defense, so if she would have lost, she would have been the 2nd Champion in a row after Tiffany Stratton to lose in her 4th Defense. As of Raw, Becky Lynch's Women's Championship Reign has lasted 41 Days, which is the 2nd Shortest Reign of All-Time ahead of Indi Hartwell (4/1/23-5/2/23, 31 Days). If Indi Hartwell would have won, she would have been the 3rd 2-time Women's Champion after Shayna Baszler & Charlotte Flair. This was the 1st Women's Championship Match between an Irish woman & an Australian woman in WWE History.
Wow, Xia Li attacked Candice LeRae. She has to earn a shot at Becky Lynch. She's 0-10 on TV & PPV in WWE. No one with that record should be getting a Championship Match.
OK segment with Adam Pearce & Nick Aldis. But a 5-Way Contract Signing is going to be horrendous.
What an awful segment. My dog took a crap on a Wee Wee Pad & cleaning that up was more entertaining this crap. No one wants to see that 5-Way Match at Crown Jewel. (Triple H should have never answered the text from Nia.)
Good segment with Imperium & Bronson Reed. I would love Reed VS GUNTHER Part 2. Also, Akira Tozawa was hilarious. Tozawa VS Reed will be fun.
Johnny Gargano VS Giovanni Vinci was a great match, but it was disrespectful to them for showing the trailer of that stupid Five Nights at Freddy's. It could have waited until after the match. Love Tommaso Ciampa coming back. FACT: This was the 1st time that Johnny Gargano wrestled 2 1-on-1 Matches in back-to-back weeks on Raw since he defeated Otis & Finn Balor on 2/27 & 3/6. This was Giovanni Vinci's 1st 1-on-1 Match since he lost to Tommaso Ciampa on Raw on 9/18. This was the 2nd 1-on-1 Match between them after NXT on 11/1/17, which was won by Vinci, wich was Vinci's 2nd match in NXT, so they each won 1 match.
Good promo by Shinsuke Nakamura.
What a horrible segment with Logan Paul & Dominik Mysterio, I don't know who's more hated. Ricochet coming out to defend Samantha Irvin was the best part of the whole segment.
Raw has been good tonight, but it went downhill in the last hour except for Gargano VS Vinci.
Nikki Cross & Natalya VS Chelsea Green & Piper Niven
was horrendous. FACT: This was Nikki Cross' 1st Raw Match since she lost to Shayna Baszler on 7/17 & her 1st 2-on-2 Tag Team Match on Raw since she & Doudrop lost to Aliyah & Raquel Rodriguez on 9/5/22. This was Natalya's 1st 2-on-2 Tag Team Match since she & Shotzi lost to Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez on Smackdown on 4/7 & 1st on Raw since she & Carmella lost to Bianca Belair & Liv Morgan on 4/7/22. This was the 1st time ever that Cross & Natalya teamed up in a 2-on-2 Tag Team Match. This was Chelsea Green & Piper Niven's 1st 2-on-2 Tag Team Match since they wrestled Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark to a No Contest on 9/18.
Good exchange between Jey Uso & Drew McIntyre.
Hilarious segment with The Miz & Adam Pearce. I thought Pearce was going to force Miz to wrestle GUNTHER since he mentioned being the Greatest IC Champion of All-Time. Rhea signing the contract & then taking Adam's pen was funny as well as her taking care of Dom's face.
I wish they did Raw from the UK next week. Those shows are fun and they would be taped, so I can do my facts early.
Sami Zayn VS Drew McIntyre was an excellent clean match that had to be ruined by a stupid finish with Rhea Ripley coming out. FACT: This is Sami Zayn's 1st 1-on-1 Match on Raw since he lost to JD McDonagh on 9/4. This is the 7th 1-on-1 match between them after Smackdown on 10/22/21, 4/8/22, 4/15/22, 4/22/22, 4/29/22, & 8/26/22, with McIntyre winning every match but 4/22, which ended in a No Contest, so McIntyre won 6, Zayn won 0, & 1 match ended in a No Contest.
Another interesting segment with Adam Pearce, Nick Aldis. It was good to see Kayden Carter & Katana Chance on TV. And what the hell is going on with Nikki Cross. I hope Five Nights At Freddy's bombs after all of the stupid promotion throughout Raw. It was one of those movies that I was going to watch to waste time on a Sunday afternoon, but the promotion was too much that I'm not going to watch it all.
Fun little match between Akira Tozawa & Bronson Reed to show Reed's dominance. FACT: This was Akira Tozawa's 1st Raw since he lost to The Miz on 9/11. This was Bronson Reed's 6th week in a row on Raw, which is the most consecutive matches in a row on Raw in his Career. This was the 3rd 1-on-1 Match between them after Raw on 1/16 & Main Event on 1/26 & 9/7, which were all won by Reed.
Good interaction between Seth Rollins & Drew McIntyre.
Next week's Raw looks great. I love them announcing all of the matches ahead of time. At least Xia Li can finally get a win over Candice LeRae before wrestling Becky Lynch for the NXT Women's Title.
Of course Jey Uso VS Damian Priest was a great match that was ruined by stupid interference by Finn Balor. God forbid we get a clean match in the main event of Raw. I guess Cody Rhodes' ankle is OK. FACT: This was Jey Uso's 1st 1-on-1 Match since he lost to Drew McIntyre on Raw on 9/18. This was Damian Priest's 1st 1-on-1 Match since he defeated Sami Zayn on 8/28.
Here are my RAW Match Rankings:
1) The New Day VS The Alpha Academy
2) Sami Zayn VS Drew McIntyre
3) Jey Uso VS Damian Priest
4) Becky Lynch VS Indi Hartwell
5) Johnny Gargano VS Giovanni Vinci
6) Akira Tozawa VS Bronson Reed
7) Nikki Cross & Natalya VS Chelsea Green & Piper Niven
Overall besides some crap in the 2nd hour, Raw was a great show. 6 out of the 7 matches were great. And the build to Crown Jewel & next week was good.
Good opening segment with The Judgment Day & Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso. Rhodes VS Priest at Crown Jewel would have been great until Priest injured Rhodes' leg.
