He's always been a terrible main event guy but a great upper mid-carder. People can build amazing careers off that role. I should know, look at my FAN career!

I became a fan when in the middle of that raw-push thing, it was revealed/leaked by some backstage person that corbin was the chillest dude and would go out of his way to talk to and get to know ppl backstage. the dudes had such an uphill, weird career but remains consistent , and by multiple accounts, is a good guy. Ppl been saying it here for years but “he gets it”. Check out his appearances on UUDD, the dude is hilarious. Especially during one of the AJ vs Seth Madden games, Corbin is needling AJ the entire time because he knows that Seth is gonna win, and AJ getting pissed is funny. Corbin also was the one that called out Maroon, when Maroon was downplaying CTE in football players to the locker room.

You’ll make more money in the long run being a mid/upper mid card guy that loses a lot than you will chasing true superstardom. 🤷🏻♂️ Corbin on that pin me pay me move. Too bad Ryback, Lio Rush and Kaval never figured that out

Corbin beating Angle was a rub, to be sure, but never having a solid title run, any title, really, did him a disservice. The thing with Miz, for example, is that while he’s lost a ton of matches, the ones he wins tend to be the important ones. He’s got a list of accomplishments a mile long, so even though he gets chumped out frequently, he still a Double Grand Slam Champion who, remarkably, is the only guy in WWE who’s held three titles at once. Corbin has held the US title ONCE, for 70 days and that’s the only title he’s ever won, and they made him an idiot twice, once when he blew the MITB cash in, and again when they made him a deeply incompetent evil authority figure who couldn’t even properly stack the deck to give himself the title. It’s great to see him thriving again, because clearly he’s gotten no help from the booking

That's something, right? *silence from the crowd* Right? *one person in the auditorium coughs* Corbin kept the king gimmick for a while and yet it still felt less important when he won than it did when Xavier won it. And Xavier only got to keep the crown for a few weeks. Miz and Ziggler both got big important wins than Corbin never really has. As much as Dolph floundered, he still had the cash in on Del Rio and the Survivor Series win in 2014 to point to. Sadly, Corbin beating Angle didn’t really matter, at minimum he should have walked around with a gold medal or something.

I really respect wrestlers who understand that not everyone can be a main eventer and that it’s perfectly okay for some to be the kind of wrestler who’s role is to make others look as good as possible.
