After watching the video, I enjoyed it much more. It’s a nice little goodbye from a band who never really got one.

For me, Free As A Bird will always be their last song. This sounds more like a Beatles song, honestly.

Just listened to the song.... I like listening to The Beatles because, obviously, i think they were great and, just as importantly, they sound like "their time". This sounds like something that would come out today and it didn't feel like The Beatles to me. Obviously, the voices sounded like them, but overall... it just felt like a cover with "current" music. It's not terrible, it just doesn't feel real if that makes sense. Just my opinion and to be fair, I'm not a Beatles superfan.

Other bands/performers from the sixties got to do more modern music decade-by-decade while they were alive (or are still doing so cause they are still with us), so obviously it's more natural to see their evolution. As The Beatles stopped performing together since the start of the '70s, we'll never know how they would have sounded in each subsequent decade they'd be together to perform. It's a "what if," but it's still a bit jarring because it's not the Beatles most of us know. As I said, this was more like a '70s Lennon solo song.

I've never really been a fan of the Beatles, but I listened to this and found myself tearing up at the video.
There's something about the nostalgia, missing the old days, growing old but losing friends along the way who will stay forever young. It's very universal and it made me feel very mortal.
And then there's my Mum, who was in those crowds of girls screaming and crying as a teenager, I just found it all very powerful and it's a beautiful way for the band to finally have an ending.

Sixty years after they first topped the UK Singles chart (From Me to You) and fifty four years since they last did (The Ballad of John and Yoko), they are number one again.

I don’t think they’ll ever go fully out of style. I think there will always be an audience. Like there is for the great composers. 500 years now, if humanity is still around, however they’re consuming music, there’ll be some kid hearing Rubber Soul for the first time and they'll be blown away.

It gives me the same kind of vibes of David Bowie's "Where Are We Now", which had a similar farewell feeling.
