Crazy to think that Cena’s last match is coming up pretty soon. I doubt the SAG will let him do more than one match, and he’s lost his last 4 singles matches so would you be mad if he walked out with a win? It would be a nice parallel of him losing his first match and he’s put over so many others in the process. I think him vs Drew at Mania 40 with Cena overcoming the odds and going over would be a good way to end his career

Normally, it's good to go out on your back, but he came back to put a bunch of people over at various points. Going out on a win would honestly be fine.

Depends who he's facing. If he's facing a midcarder like Theory again or a Drew potentially on his way out of the company then I'd have him win. If he's facing a Gunther or Cody though he should realistically lose.
Orton is another one he could beat. If they have one final match for his retirement then I'd probably let Cena win that one since wins and losses aren't going to affect Orton at this point.

If it was a few years ago, I'd say no, but I'm kind of at the point now where I wouldn't mind him winning.
Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if he won a Royal Rumble, main evented one last WrestleMania and won the big one and broke Flair's record. We saw his Death of Superman moment with Brock and then to a lesser extent this year with Solo. I want to see the guy that says Never Give Up somehow muster up the strength to be a superhero for everybody one last time before he gets to go out with a really special retirement like the Ric Flair ceremony. Dude deserves it.

In the service of the story that Cena has been unable to win in singles matches since 2018, it'd absolutely work if Cena won his last singles match and then called it a career.

If he were to break "Flair's record," win the title and then get immediately cashed in on by a heel Money in the Bank who can then forever say that they retired John Cena, that'd be pretty cool and sounds like a good way to go out where he wins a match on his last night and still puts someone over on the way out.

Yeah - he's put over so many guys at this point that I don't think losing in his last match would really do anything for the other guy whereas it could really be a great moment for the fans if he goes out with a win.

I’ve never been his biggest fan but think he deserves to go out with a win. As long as it’s not over someone who WWE should be pushing instead.

Unless he's got time to come back and do a 6 month run where he can build up some wins and really make the last match loss mean something then might as well let him win his next match and call it a day. Let him and KO go out an tear the house down, with Owens putting him over. Owens can recover the next night easily, and has more then enough credibility that it actually means something if Cena wins. AJ would be another good option, Orton as well.

He could, but if he does, he should get a post match beat down to put some new debuting heel over huge.
He can get his real goodbye at the headline HoF he'd get, but his in ring goodbye should be used to try and get someone over whether he wins or not.

Yes
Having older legends like Cena put new guys over is fine, but it kinda loses its impact when he loses to everybody now. "You beat Cena--so what, he wasn't won in like five years"

I normally hate this kind of suggestion, but Flair is a piss boy who doesn't deserve his record. Cena should win the world title in his last match and then vacate it so he retires with the record and having never been beaten for the belt.
