I wouldn't be shocked, if just for the fact that the Ginger Witches vs The KCs is next week randomly, which tells me the Kabukis are gonna show up and drag this to the Rumble. |

I wouldn't be shocked, if just for the fact that the Ginger Witches vs The KCs is next week randomly, which tells me the Kabukis are gonna show up and drag this to the Rumble. I couldn't imagine them taking another four to six main roster women in addition to the two singles champions (or any potential challengers for that card) out of the Rumble match entirely for the sake of the tag titles. These women's Rumbles have always been all hands on deck, with many instances of the women in undercard matches pulling double duty. |

Damage CTRL should be being used to make stars out of IYO, Dakota, and Kairi. Somehow WWE in their great wisdom, decided that the Damage CTRL story's main players are Bianca and Bayley.
Dakota is inured, so I get why she can't do much.
IYO, feels like the most irrelevant champion since... well...Asuka I guess.
Kairi might as well be a cardboard cut out of "Girl Number 5".
Asuka is my favorite, and I'd love nothing more than for this story to push her, but to be fair she doesn't need it. So I'm fine with her just being a filler member slumming in tag division.
The saving grace of Damage CTRL is the girls are so likeable together, but the story they are telling is contrary to that strength. I'd portray them as, "This is the group of friends every girl wishes she had".
Their other strength is that they are all amazing wrestlers! But they have not been able to showcase it. When the group splits there's so many cool matches they can have against each other, but their booking tells me that they are a bunch of losers who can't win even with 5 on 1 odds and we shouldn't really care about them.
The division is not being all it can be when your best girls are tied up in a stable, the only girl you actually want to push has no one else to beat up, and the rest are bafflingly sitting in catering. How the hell do we get Bayley vs Bianca like 85 times with the same damn outcome every time, but we only get Asuka vs IYO sky once!? It was so refreshing last week when IYO just got to have a match with Mia Yim. Now we are back to Bianca beats up Bayley, going on to year 3.
