IYO's got that MARIGOLD event the following week after MITB, so I wonder if they not have her qualify for MITB, or if she does they play it safe and conservative and not have her take any big bumps or spots.

I can see IYO having a match but not being in the MITB...like she demands KAIRI or Dakota win it instead to prove themselves.

And have it keep playing into IYO losing her mind and the Dmg Cntrl change she declared last week.

Or they can really go wild and I just posted this..would have been even more plausable if the Red belt winner was being crowd at the July 13th show but the white belt winner is the next biggest title that will have its inagural winner crowned...and I tossed it out that IYO wins the MITB and cashes in to win the white belt on that show.

It aint gonna happen but it would be a twist and use of the MITB no one would see coming to not only use the cash in in an entirely different company but win a different companies title off of that cash in.

That's an interesting option. It's sad that I really can't envision Kairi or Dakota winning a singles match to qualify.

You see, their logic there is "well maybe she should start giving a shit if she wants a push, then she will get one". Nevermind the fact that Triple H never truly wanted Kairi as NXT Women's Champion, since she had the second or third shortest reign, but also had zero title defenses before losing it back to Shayna. He's never been high on her. Hell, I remember Casey hinting at the time that Triple H wanted Shayna to go over in the MYC Finals, but Vince overrode him. The rare good decision from Vince.

The thing that sucks is we will probably never even get a Kairi vs IYO match, or Kairi vs Asuka, or a proper IYO vs Asuka.

As crap as Kairi's booking has been, I think Dakota deserves better too.

Usually I'd say it's better to be on TV than not, but being on TV and made to look like such worthless losers week after week for more than 2 years is probably worse than being off TV. Being associated with Damage CTRL even ruined Asuka's popularity. Asuka was one of the more popular girls before joining Damage CTRL and before her hiatus she was getting no reaction.

It seems like they at least have plans to slot in IYO as a solid mid carder.

Meanwhile you have places like reddit screaming about how Kairi is washed and should be a complete jobber. And they also blame her for all of the mistakes that happened during her matches with Bianca and/or Jade, ignoring the fact that Jade is as green as grass, and Bianca's singles matches are structured to where she's dominating almost all of it, and never really sells for anyone else. But nope, gotta blame Kairi for every little thing that goes wrong.

This is why I feel like WWE is struggling in Japan in terms of TV ratings. They treat their Japanese talents like complete fodder, and Japanese fans decide not to watch because of that. It's little wonder they are getting close with NOAH and Marigold. They need all the help they can get over there. But the problem remains that there's a very vocal part of the WWE fanbase which shits on anything Japanese related, and WWE listens to their opinions over everything else.

People seem to forget that one of the key factors for Sarree/Sarray leaving outside of WWE was the utterly insane amount of hatred she was getting from WWE fans. And now look at her, she's one of the top joshi in the industry today. But I don't think she's ever going to work a WWE show again, because they don't care about booking a Japanese talent as a face of the company and shutting down any sort of abuse said talents get from fans.

Hell, you already have fans going after Giulia because "she shouldn't be the face of the NXT Women's Division, she's too average looking and also that the NXT Women's title should go onto Cora or Lola, who have proven themselves to be good ambassadors/draws of the company and brand". Nevermind the fact that Lola still has virtually no character, and Cora is generic mean girl #37 who can't remain off the injury list for more than a month at this point. And she wasn't exactly setting the world on fire even before her two injuries.

Her booking is really irritating. Even if she wasn't at her best at first, she's still charismatic and likeable. I remember Iyo not being at her best when she came back from injury but now look at her. I feel bad for her because she was obviously promised much more. Her first run was poorly booked, too, which makes it even more annoying.

I mean look no further than Dakota Kai, who has been putting in the work, busted her ass just to come back from a Torn ACL and yet she gets jack. What sucks is they protected her with non-finishes against the likes of Becky & Bayley, so many people thought she had a push coming her way for all of her efforts......yeah.....nope....
