Considering WWE has not aknowledged at all either match IYO or AJ have had on TV that is with the buzz especially the IYO match generated...they probably wont even go that far or anywhere close to it.

I hope it changes in the future into something more tangiable because right now it just seems like maybe a once a year talent exchange...we will see what the grand prix brings I am expecting atleast one NXT talent to partake , but yea for any MariGold titles to show up on WWE tv the partnership has to really expand.

Probably not at all, since I imagine Shayna, Sonya, and Zoey are just going to be fed to Damage CTRL anyways whenever they return, because everyone in Damage CTRL has significantly more upside than Shayna, Sonya, and Zoey right now. And Giulia is probably going to NXT first.

Based on the past month or so they are feeding the Party Birds to Shayna/Zoey/Sonya to build them up for a clash against Damage Ctrl once they return. I can see Damage Ctrl losing the first match with Natalya officially aligning with Sonya's group(remember Sonya was talking to Natalya at the same time she was trying to recruit Shayna/Zoey), but Damage Ctrl ends up winning the feud. Hell, I can see these two groups being on opposite ends of this year's War Games match with Rhea and Liv being the Team Captains.

So suddenly it was IYO Vs Liv on Osaka and only Asuka was with IYO...idk why they changed things up.


IYO lost to Liv..it was for the womens title so no surprise at all as Liv aint losing that title to anyone but Rhea right now.



EDIT: NVM looks like the six woman tag happened so she worked double duty....IYO is f***ing insane she is working a schedule that would kill most people.

Very cool (/s if it wasn't obvious) homecoming, with them having put over only one Japanese talent so far, one who is part time (and even that is stretching it). And I don't expect that to change unless they announce an impromptu match with Giulia or something, since the only other Japanese talent slated for the show is Shinsuke. And he's facing Cody and AJ.

Former WWE Women's Champion Iyo Sky makes a triumphant return. He will participate in the WWE Japan "WWE SuperShow Summer Tour 2024" to be held at EDION Arena Osaka on July 25 and at Ryogoku Kokugikan on July 26 and 27 with his unit "Damage CTRL".



At the 7.13 Marigold Ryogoku Kokugikan Tournament, Iyo Sky showed her ability once again under the full sky with a stunning performance against Shimi Hayashishita. Iyo, who won the WWE Women's Title last year and became a world superstar at this year's WrestleMania 40 semi-main event, will fare in her first WWE Japan appearance since joining WWE six years ago. We asked him to talk about his enthusiasm.

――This time, before the WWE Japan Tour, you participated in Marigold's 7.13 Ryogoku Kokugikan tournament, how did you feel when this was decided?



"It was really surprising, because from the time I signed with WWE and came to the U.S. six years ago, I knew I wasn't going to get in the ring outside of WWE as long as my contract lasted. It's changed the world."



――What was the reaction of the people around you?



I usually live in the U.S., so I don't know what the atmosphere is like except when I hear voices from Japan on social media. When I came back to Japan, I felt that there was a lot of expectation for me."



――This time, it is a coincidence, but on the same day that Iyo went to Marigold Ryogoku, AJ Styles also participated in NOAH's Japan Budokan tournament. I really feel the change in WWE, how do you see this change yourself?



"It's very exciting, people are looking at it in a very positive way, and I think it's becoming interesting, because not only WWE Superstars are coming to shows in Japan, but also in the U.S. with Shayna [Baizler] in Blood Sports, and other big changes are happening."



――So the top WWE main roster is on the shows of other organizations.



"I'm on TV every week, whether I'm playing or not, and I'm also on PLE [Premium Live Events] quite often. I just came out on "Money in the Bank" the other day



I don't know if Mr./Ms. in Japan can tell you how amazing this is to have a fighter who doesn't appear on TV get a different opportunity outside, but to be at the forefront of WWE and compete in another promotion in Japan like this, but it's really valuable. It's the same with AJ Styles, he's a real frontline."



――AJ just did the main event of PLE's Backlash in May.



"That's true, so I said, 'Everyone in Japan, Mr./Ms., you're blessed' (laughs)."



――How do you feel about being in a position to open such a new door this time?



"First of all, I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity, and I think that Iyo Sky has always been at the forefront of WWE and sent me out with the idea that Iyo Sky would not compromise that badass and credibility. For Triple H and other people inside WWE, it's like, 'Leave it to me.'"



――That sense of trust is something that Iyo has built up in the six years since you came to WWE.



"We've built up, definitely."



――As was the case with "Money in the Bank" the other day, you always leave an impact when you become the number one.



"Especially at WrestleMania 40 this year, it was the last match of the 2 days, and I was able to win the WrestleMania semi-main event as the champion of the [WWE Women's] title match. I didn't defend the match, but when I saw that big crowd from the stage, I knew I could be proud of myself."



――So you have gained confidence again.



"It's not up to me to decide the order of the fights or the cards themselves, it's the result of what I've been building up over the past six years in the U.S. I'm also glad that it's being evaluated on a meritocracy basis. When I first heard about the order of the fights, I was like, 'Oh my gosh, before Cody [Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns]?' That's what I really thought. "Iyo will do it," and I was entrusted with the task with Bailey. And when I actually got really excited and heard the cheers, I was like, 'I did it.' I thought I had truly achieved the American dream."



――I think it's a great achievement.



"After that, I was able to qualify for 'Money in the Bank' and participate in it, and I got to the point where the anticipation was the same whether I won the title or not.



――The response to "Money in the Bank" must have been tremendous, wasn't it?



"Well, everybody called me 'crazy' (laughs)."



――The video of the tombstone piledriver from the top of the ladder to the top of the ladder will have a tremendous number of views all over the world.



"Isn't it going to get hundreds of millions of views through social media?



――As with the "trash can dive" in last year's "Survivor Series," do you always have the feeling that you will always leave an impact?



"Yes, that's why Iyo Sky's name comes into PLE like this. From the time my match was scheduled, I was always thinking about what I was going to do this time, and what I was going to do to show something that would leave a lasting impression on people's minds. This hasn't changed since I was in Japan, but I really cherish the ring I'm standing in now, and as a result of doing my best on the spot, I've come to spread the buzz every time like this (laughs)."



――So, what do you want to show on the upcoming WWE Japan tour?



"First of all, I'm happy to be able to compete in front of everyone in Mr./Ms.Japan, and this is actually the first time I've been in a show Japan WWE as a member of WWE. It's been six years, and it's a long-awaited triumph. With the coronavirus pandemic, everyone has been through tough times, but I want to show that I'm back with a big bang."



――Isn't it great to be able to show the ongoing Iyo Sky of WWE as a damage CTRL?



"I'm honestly happy about that, because the members of Damage CTRL are with me every day, and I'm an important friend who can forgive them from the bottom of my heart. We're really looking forward to it, and we hope our customers Mr./Ms. enjoy what we're doing now."



――What are your goals for the future?



"First of all, I think that being the WWE Women's Champion again will give me the opportunity to boost the reputation of the Damage CTRL, and by doing so, I will raise the bar for the WWE Women's Division and say, 'Let's all get excited!' That's how I feel."



――Finally, do you have a message for the WWE Universe in Japan, who are looking forward to touring Japan?



"Please see the brave figure of Iyo Sky with your own eyes!"
