So an interesting interview with IYO in which she basically stated that the Joshi scene is in short creatively one dimensional....which I think was a bit of a shot at STARDOM considering she says she was watching the tournament.

"I think that the number of wrestlers　in Japanese women's wrestling has increased dramatically since I was in the sport, and the level has improved. However, if there is a problem with that, it is that the wrestlers looks and the content of the matches all seem to be chasing the same ideal, so after watching the tournament as a show, the audience doesn't have much of an impression.



WWE has a wide variety of superstars, and they are all very impressive because they are all so sophisticated. Recently, a group called The Wyatt Sicks debuted on RAW, and they are creepier and cooler than ever, and they are making America go crazy right now.



If there were more wrestlers and organizations that could go beyond just being cute or strong, or even express something completely different, I believe the overall entertainment value of Japanese professional wrestling would increase many times over.

It is an interesting take and I can see her point especially when she uses the Wyatt's as evidence to the direction she would like to see more Joshi's take creatively with the characters etc because while they are known for being amongst the best wrestlers in the world but as far as characters and general storytelling kind of all blend together....not all of them mind you like the Hyper Misao for example but most.

Her and Giulia both have their own ideas on how they want to see the Joshi scene change and grow and considering how much influence they carry it is gonna be interesting to see how things play out over the next 5-10yrs.

Can’t say that I particularly agree with Iyo here. There’s just some places where I’d just want to watch a great 30 minute match with a basic storyline over one’s that involve weird supernatural characters like the Wyatt’s or sleazy stories like Liv/Rhea/Dominik. I watch WWE because there’s people there I enjoy, but I also like variety and don’t want other places to automatically use their style.

I mean Damage CTRL never did anything wrong at the end of the day. Bayley was constantly costing them matches at the time, but whenever Damage CTRL did win something, she would act like she was the cause of it.

And now Bayley is on Smackdown on her own, having lost her title to Nia Jax.

I am not gonna be surprised if they turn Bayley back to a heel just because this face turn after she won the title has just face planted not to any real fault of Bayley's but did we not say that Dmg Cntrl would be better off once they got off of SD and stopped being treated as complete fodder for the nearly 3yrs they were together and now look Dmg Cntrl have turned babyface are over and surprise aren't being treated as fodder.

I wouldn't be opposed to Bayley getting let back in Damage CTRL.
With Dakota out and Asuka out Damage CTRL is short staffed. The breakup of the group was a big story line and it was popular, but it was not a great story. Bayley coming out as the heroic face made no sense except for the cheers from fans. Damage CTRL was more fun as a group of cool friends anyway. Say they are a family, they had a fight, and they hashed out their differences to Bring Bayley back into face Damage CTRL. There's not much for Bayley to do over on Smackdown anyway. Bayley gets a good reaction from fans, bring her to Raw to give some star power to the women's tag team vortex.

Dakota and IYO mentioned in various interviews during WrestleMania week that they likened Bayley to an overbearing parent and that they needed to break away from her to grow. Which is sorta true, she did come off as an overbearing parent, doing all the talking and not giving them any input
