This thread has made me racist against people with the default Proboards cartoony guy avatar. Lance Uppercut's avatar should be Sagat doing a Tiger Uppercut.

Alvarez said that same person that told him it was an adlib also said Iyo and Kairi were both fine with it after.

So that now makes it 3 times Dmg Cntrl has been screwed over in Tag matches.
Either this is leading to a number 1 contenders match or multi woman tag match for the titles which would be the most WWE way to get the belts off of Jade and Bianca and not have them not be involved in the decision so.
But if this doesn't lead to them winning the tag titles idk what the f*** this booking is for otherwise.

AURA!
Stephanie was the awkward new friend at the party so the friends don't pay her any mind as the aces mingle.

For what it’s worth, Kairi Sane’s next televised WWE match will be her 100th, the last member of the group (current or former) to hit that milestone (Bayley is on 332, Asuka is on 254, Sky is on 140 and Kai is on 126).

Carlito segment aired in Japan, general reaction from Japanese fans is either people being really pissed off, or "This should not shock you, its WWE after all". The general consensus though is that they all think WWE isn't truly a global company if this is the kind of stuff they allow to be said.
So uh yeah. I would not be shocked if Carlito gets in trouble for this, especially since WWE wanted to run a PLE in Japan, but I have to imagine this puts the brakes on that because of him being a f***ing dumbass.

Aren't those backstage segments usually pre taped? Couldn't they have done another take?

Yea ones like that are usually done live since it doesn't require to do anything but walk into a room and talk and it was like a 1min segment if that.

Do we know that the line was his idea? I am in the camp that it was 2000% an immoral thing to say, and 3000% it wasn't funny either, but was it Carlito's call? Not saying he doesn't have the autonomy to say no, but we know that WWE operates on a system of pressuring people to do things they don't want to do.

IYO SKY and Kairi Sane reportedly "did not have a problem" with Carlito's line on Raw.
"I was told by the same person that told me the Carlito line was an adlib that IYO and Kairi did not have a problem with it. They saw it as him playing an idiot and that was that. That doesn’t necessarily mean Carlito will not be punished for this but that’s the story."

So we could put this to rest now?

If it were from someone who wasn't Bryan Alvarez, maybe. But Bryan's track record isn't great. It also sorta conflicts with the Fightful report, where SRS mentioned that people backstage did have a problem with it.

Carlito should be made to take 10 backhands from KAIRI as the firs of his punishments.

I'm not surprised the guy who thinks speaking out against transphobia is worse than transphobia doesn't have a problem with racism either. IYO SKY and Kairi Sane reportedly "did not have a problem" with Carlito's line on Raw. If it were from someone who wasn't Bryan Alvarez, maybe. But Bryan's track record isn't great. It also sorta conflicts with the Fightful report, where SRS mentioned that people backstage did have a problem with it. To add to this, there's usually an expectation in corporate culture not to rock the boat. And that's not only true in the US but especially Japan. So even if Iyo and Kairi said they were okay with it, it doesn't necessarily represent how they feel in private. And they don't represent the feelings of other East Asian people Carlito insulted with his "joke."

Been seeing a lot of people online getting pissed at the folks who are just very simply like 'yo, that's racist.' You can't make jokes anymore, this is why we'll never get the Attitude Era back, his character is dumb so he said a dumb thing. And at the end of the day, it was still f***ing racist. May not have been the intended vibe, but that's how it comes across. As others have pointed out here, he could've said a dozen other languages to get across the point that he's a dumb jock but he went with Chinese because 'ha ha, they look alike.' That's f***ing racist.
