With how quickly the crowd were cheering Bayley it feels like they were just ready for an excuse for face Bayley after nearly five years.
Reminded of Sami Zayn in the bloodline where crowds were itching to root for him stein after half a decade as a heel.

Perhaps, but I also feel like Iyo has a very good chance of winning, just because of how selfless Bayley actually is behind the scenes. |

This was absoloutley rushed but eh whatever about it now.
I said it already but two things really worked here.
Bayleys heartbreak specifically when she turned to IYO and asked why (I sense this will is forcasting a full circle moment when IYO gets betrayed by Asuka and maybe KAIRI)
But also IYO selling absoloute fear of Bayley...when has anyone ever treated Bayley as someone to be scared of...shocked , suprised , taken a back by but never outright scared and IYO sold it beatifully.

Predictably Iyo is catching a lot of racist garbage thrown at her on social media over this. Never change, wrestling fans (actually do change, its disgusting).
I hope Iyo wins just because it would also send a message that Japanese talents can absolutely win at Mania on the main card, because I don't think a Japanese talent has won on the main card in over 20 years. And WWE still very much has a problem with treating their Asian talents on the same level as their other wrestlers.

I would've bet Becky v rhea got the main, but bayley & iyo deserve the main. It would be a tremendous reward for all their hard work

So I hope they don't keep the Damage CTRL name anymore next week.
They need a badass new name.
But the Dakota factor is interesting. She wasn't seen.
I wonder if she's cleared but won't return until the match to help Bayley defeat Iyo?
Kabuki intefere, Dakota runs out to pretend she sides with them. She clears the ring for Bayley. Bayley with the suplex.

Dakota speaks Japanese and was translating for Iyo on screen to Bayley, so she knew all along it's just whether Bayley has realised that yet. |
