Idk about the rest but we feelin pretty damn good here on the island...had a little rough period there but that is what happens when we have unload an entire Bayley. Raw has never looked better and KAIRI got her favourite hat back. I was just thinking, you never see Kairi rocking a blue hat

They had one singles match on TV a year or so ago but IYO v Becky in a 20 minute PPV match has been one of my most wanted matches for a while. Now they're on the same show hopefully it happens as soon as Clash/MITB/Summerslam.
I think it would benefit Lyra to align with Becky against Damage CTRL. Becky has been kind of a loner since becoming The Man so her taking someone under her wing would help establish Lyra to main roster fans then of course down the line she turns on her mentor and they have an actual feud compared to their face v face match in NXT.
I wonder if Damage CTRL lasts the year as a group. I feel like Raw would eventually be better off with them in the singles division.

Just an observation from me and that I find it interesting and it seems to be happening more and more that IYO seem's to be hanging less and less with the other members of Dmg Cntrl.
Like Raw showed she is still with them but like Dakota and the Kabuki Warriors feel like one unit and then there is IYO that kind of cameos with them.
I mean if the plan is to turn IYO babyface (finally) and this booking is intentionally building to something because Dakota in the backstage segment from SD is pretty much losing it and I think if the Kabuki Warriors lose those tag titles (they will) then I can see them starting to build to a split on Raw.
Also because I do not see any of Dmg Cntrl really entering the title picture untill Rhea gets the title back because that is going from Becky to Liv to Rhea and so feuding amongst eachother is a solid way to keep them occupied for the next couple months and can get many variations of matches and feuds to keep that entire thing fresh.

I don't know. This past Monday after they got drafted to Raw they all confronted Becky Lynch backstage and seemed to be hinting at going after her title It is odd because last week, neither Dakota or IYO were there with the Kabuki Warriors. This week, IYO was the only one not there. Don't think there doing a split yet, especially since they're currently doing the breakup storyline with LWO and Judgement Day and the Bloodline all at the same time.

Well now all the titles are gone and they have been drafted to Raw.
So It is a fresh start and looks like it will start with the queen of the ring.
IMO this should be IYO's to basically win.
She will breeze through Nattie and Lyra isn't losing to Asuka in her first Raw match.
The only real obstacle on the Raw side is Lyra and I do not think she makes it past IYO....UNLESS they are start Dmg Cntrls complete disintegration by having the group inadvertently of course costing each their matches as that is the only way I see Lyra making it past IYO because I would be damn f***ing flabergasted if they let her beat both Asuka and IYO clean.

I actually disagree. I think Lyra will lose to Asuka, or at least I'd book it that way. Lyra is great, but she can lose her first match to someone on Asuka's level. She isn't someone that needs to be in title contention right away.

I think it depends on what they think of Asuka. As I mentioned in an earlier post. Do they still view Asuka as their upper mid carder, or do they want to move her into Natty territory? So do they start rebuilding her? Because being in Damage CTRL has hurt her more than anyone. Or do they start jobbing her out to next generation they want to build? Interesting that Asuka took the pin tonight. Asuka being pinned by Bianca is nothing new so it might not mean anything, but in the past Kairi was the one who always ate the pins becasue they wanted to keep Asuka strong.
I would love for us to get a second chance at IYO vs Asuka. This time at PLE.

Iyo vs. Asuka with no Charlotte to interrupt next time (though I wish her a speedy recovery) would be great.

I will just say this IF they have Asuka Vs IYO...first off MOTY just write it down.
But that should signify atleast the start of the Dmg Cntrl break up...like maybe Asuka loses to IYO and gets pissed off storms off from a post match interview with them and you can build this to the inevitable 4 way between all 4 of them or the Joshi triple threat.
Having both IYO and Asuka in the tournament makes for intriguiging developments for both going forward.
Also idk if IYO and Asuka are even bracketed to where they would end up facing eachother in the 2nd round so that was just me spitballin.

As predictable as the outcome was I did like how Asuka/Kairi got more offence in than what at least some people were expecting and Bianca did a decent job of selling tonight imo.
Jade however, I was not impressed with her tonight.

Jade however, I was not impressed with her tonight. Yeah. I'll say Kairi did not look good today either. But that entire middle half of the match was a mess in general, with the referee getting completely lost. I think the issue here is that while Kairi didn't look good, Jade did fine with her power spots, but otherwise got completely f***ing lost in the ring multiple times. If WWE wants her in a major singles match next year at Mania, they have a long ways to go to making her even passable in the ring. I kinda have a sneaking suspicion Kairi is largely phoning it in because she wasn't this bad in her previous STARDOM run. And I wouldn't be shocked if WWE sold her a bad bill of goods, claiming she would be pushed strongly, just to immediately turn around after her return and get fed to Bianca for six months straight (and lets not kid ourselves, WWE has promised all sorts of stuff to talent to get them to sign, just to renege as soon as they join). She also hasn't won any singles matches since her return either, if I recall correctly. So it wouldn't be shocking if she's not exactly happy with her spot on the card, and is phoning it in as a result. It's unprofessional, but at the same time, quite a few other women who are higher up on the card do it as well. And in the case of Kairi, I imagine having someone like Mark Henry constantly screaming about how "you are unprofessional and if I was in the ring I would knock your head off" probably just makes you stop giving a damn. I'm kinda hoping Iyo or Asuka win Queen of the Ring this year, especially since its the last PLE before AAPI month ends.

I could see the Asuka vs. Lyra match going either way honestly.

Let me say this for KAIRI it would not shock me if she was phoning it is because she was killing it in STARDOM right as she was returning to WWE.
Also KAIRI was absoloutley sold poisoned bill of goods because largely why she returned was the hope she could get the chance to succeed like Io and I said this when that was reported that KAIRI looking at that and any way expecting WWE to give her even that (because lets be honest they did IYO's title run dirty) was giving WWE too much credit....so a big part of this dissapointment falls squarely on her expectations just because HHH was back in charge....she put too much stock in her personal hope...instead of looking at her first run and realizing THE MINUTE! they put her back with Asuka she was right back to where she was before.
She is never gonna be allowed to win any singles womens title in WWE before her contract is up I am 100% sure of this and when it is up sure as f*** she is headed right back to Japan and to MariGold.
Her only saving grace left in WWE to do anything of absoloute note is both a face turn and feuds with both Io and Asuka because if she is gonna show her true self it will be facing them AND SHE MUST BE BABYFACE! there isn't a woman on this roster and I say and I die on this f***ing hill there isn't a single woman on this whole roster that is meant to be a babyface more than KAIRI and she needs that turn sooner than later.

I don't know who messed up tonight. I've heard it was either Kairi, Asuka or the referee.
Anyway, now they've lost the titles, I hope something interesting happens with Kairi and Asuka (her new face paint is amazing), but I'm losing faith in getting a Kairi singles run every day...

From how people have laid it out apparently it was Asuka that started the confusion by I think tagging pre-maturely after blind tagging KAIRI or it had something to do with her leaving the ring after she tagged in and it just fell apart from that point on because then it largely falls on the ref who had no idea what the f*** was going on or what to do.

I think Ring The Belle had a pretty rational take on the situation, all things considered. He mentioned that its fine that Jade and Bianca won the titles, but Triple H should probably at least try to make Damage CTRL credible and give them something major soon, especially during AAPI month, which WWE is pushing very heavily. The optics are absolutely piss poor right now on that front.
I have gotten like three different emails from WWE, WWE Shop, and WWE PR in my inbox plugging an AAPI shirt/merch, and how the company has some of the best representation and portrayals of Asian talent in the industry today.
