The booking of that tag match was just weird as hell(and that's without getting into how short the match was). I mean we had Dakota & Kairi beating the KCs down and were set to put the finishing touches on them, only for Lyra to come down and in effect distract them, costing them the victory. Meanwhile, IYO the primary aggressor in last week's attack, she did nothing to. And it wasn’t like she was running down to even the odds for the KCs, the odds were already even. Like if IYO was out there, constantly interfering and that was why the KCs were losing, Lyra's involvement would've made sense. But, they were getting beaten by Dakota/Kairi on their own. So the win didn’t really help the KCs in regards to their credibility. Odd booking because it made Dakota/Kairi(the dastardly Heels) look like the ones getting screwed over instead of the other way around.

I do not think we are gonna fully understand this story untill we are alot closer or untill after the July 13th show.
I am almost beginning to wonder if Dmg Cntrl changing ends up...with IYO turning babyface like.
Like lastnight she basically handed that duty to them with the threat that if they do not get it done she will do it ...what if this ends up being a thing where they get someone else and then boot IYO from the group because it honestly feels like WWE is slowly seperating IYO from Dakota and KAIRI....she wrestled and won her match without them and was not out there for their match or even the post match shenanigans.
Of course that is just A direction it could go but I am sticking with us not really understanding this untill we are closer to the July 13th MariGold show ...because MITB is a week out from that dream match with Utami so if she wins or loses the Raw immediately after should be very important to this entire angle.

Pushing over 600 tickets in a day after the announcement is no joke for a company like MariGold for its size and that it is in such an early stage of being a company. And IYO is just that woman.

Commentary aren't really painting IYO as the babyface in this whole situation as Cole mentioned during their entrance how IYO wants Dakota/Kairi to be more vicious/brutal so they can reassert their dominance over the Women's division again, which does fit with what happened last week with IYO attacking Lyra with Dakota/Kairi not joining in(if anything they tried to pull IYO off from continuing the assault) and then IYO snapping at them when they were questioning her actions.

Lastnight pretty much went against that by the end though. If that was IYO's demand...it sure as hell did not come off like that because IYO did not have them out there for her match or do any post match attack and she was not out there for the tag match which would have made sense considering Lyra came out there and made KAIRI and Dakota come off like the outnumbered babyfaces. And then IYO was alot more stable and calm backstage still talking about change so idk what it is they are trying to get across but there is no way this is solely about them being more agressive and vicious because Dakota and KAIRI were doing that but still ended up losing.

That does seem to be the most consistent thing with Damage Ctrl storylines is they go in 1 direction than they suddenly turn a 180 and go the opposite direction for a few weeks before going back to the original and so on and so forth(i.e. the stuff with Bayley around and after War Games). It's odd because they were portraying IYO as the de-facto Heel, with her wanting Dakota/Kairi to be more aggressive, vicious and brutal. And IYO's actions the past few weeks reflected that. First with her backstage attack on Lyra a couple weeks ago. Then last week when she attacked Lyra post-match and had to be held back and kept from continuing the assault by Dakota/Kairi and then the backstage segment where they had her snap at them when they were questioning her actions. And while they did scale things back with IYO this week, the stuff with Lyra just made things awkward and weird. It's one thing if IYO was out there with them and was interfering and her involvement was the reason that Dakota/Kairi had the advantage and so Lyra came out to even the odds and neutralize her. But, Dakota/Kairi were by themselves and they had the advantage and were well on the way to winning the match until Lyra showed up, distracted them and costed them a win. Like you said, it really painted Dakota/Kairi as the outnumbered babyfaces who got unfairly screwed....when they're suppose to be the Heels......

Yeah, and then you had the promo on RAW Talk with the KCs and Lyra, where Lyra was talking about how she showed up to "even the odds", and was acting like Iyo was out there.

So Utami did a recent interview and a notable part she has said is that she would love to wrestle stateside again.
So there is that little possibility that was doubtful when it was brought up but now that Utami has put it out there...would not surprise me to see IYO come back from the Japan tour with Utami by her side to coincide with the change she wants out of Dmg Cntrl.....because IYO pretty much goes back and forth to Japan on an almost bi weekly basis so no real reason other than MariGold show taking place that Utami couldn't show up on Raw nearly every other week to back her up.

So according to Meltz On one hand makes sense especially with how they are building other people around roxxane in quick fashion now. But Interesting that Giulia will be ready for the Sareee match just a week later but she somehow would not be ready for Roxxane a week earlier....something about that just feel's fishy to me. I think this is more a case of (if that is true and Meltz isn't just being fed info to throw off reports) prioritizing the Sareee match instead again if that info ends up being true.

It's also possible that she can get cleared by other standards but not by WWE's standards. Wouldn't be the first time.

It’s probably why they’ve started having Roxanne and Lola Vice having tension.
Hedging their bets.

With the CW premier apparently being loaded up to basically be a Takeover level show guessing that is where they would rather have her debut.
Whether for the title remains to be seen.

They gonna keep the belt on Roxanne that long I wonder? Or have her lose it and win it back in time for that premier. What I would do is you debut Giulia at Heatwave post whatever match Roxxane will have and Ava sets up the match for the CW premier this way you have a complete end goal set for Roxxane and in the mean time you can have Roxxane do everything to get out of THAT match by being willing to defend her title against any of the other women...it builds Giulia cred to those that are only now learning who she is by having Roxxane be willing to fight any of the other women just to avoid Giulia and gives storyline reason to keep the other women in the picture leading to that match...like Roxxane isn't willing to fight Giulia but others are willing to try and take the challenge by trying to Roxxanes title and her spot in that match. And film some stuff with her on the Japan tour that you can use to pad out some weeks with promos to keep building. Have Roxxane in attendence for the July 13th show even.

Kairi had a good match, and that back fist to Shayna was sweet.
But you know...
