One of the things I hate about face turns is that the heel suddenly starts giving high fives to fans like that when for a long time they couldn't stand them, it should be a more gradual transition plus why are we the fans supposed to like them all of a sudden?

With the exception of Bayley, No one in Damage CTRL ever did a "You People" promo. If the fans like them, they would still be in character to like the fans.
Kairi was often still nice to fans that liked her.

KAIRI and IYO honestly have never been that antagonistic towards the fans....funny enough it was BAYLEY who always did the majority attacking of the fans and Dakota maybe occasionally chiming in , IYO , KAIRI and Asuka kept their heeling towards the actual babyfaces.

And KAIRI has always kept forgetting she is a heel anyways lol.

"Remember on Monday we were talking about Seth and Dakota? It was done for injury reasons...I don't know how serious. I asked if those were storyline covers for injuries and I was told they both were," Meltzer said.

Hopefully it is not really serious because she just damn snake bitten.

The only thing that has me questioning this(other than it being Meltzer lol) is that Dakota did a run-in earlier in the night and was in a brawl with Sonya & co. and nothing seemed off. If she was injured you’d figure they take her out off-screen instead of letting her do anything physical.

That's what I was wondering. Because we all saw her run out to the ring and then immediately start throwing hands and kicks and nothing seemed off with her. Which is why I ruled out her being injured because when she was hurt in the past they usually kept her away from the action, but here she was in the thick of it. I figured it was just a storyline injury to put some adversity and build sympathy for Damage Ctrl.

I went back to watch the initial brawl 



And there is nothing there that indicates Dakota is injured in anyway no limp etc which to leaves me to again believe it is something internally like a concussion.

She WAS out for about a year with a knee injury. Rust is guaranteed.

It’s a shame that Deville may have peaked, because I remember her getting a bit of momentum going character-wise in the pandemic times, and then that f***in’ home invasion happened and basically stopped her career dead for a while.

Sometimes knee injuries just kill folks careers. Even Randy Savage went from one of the best around to done overnight with a knee injury in the 90s.
