They'll be losing matches until Bayley leaves em and then they'll get some Ws. That's just how it is with the story since Bayley's supposed to be making them look bad.
Besides that, you've got them going against the Avengers of Women's Wrestling right now. Becky, Charlotte and Bianca on the same team is like The Shield vs whoever. The only reason it worked in War Games is because of the match type and Dakota helping them out.
While Damage CTRL is cool, they gotta face women who are lower on the totem pole. They gotta face the Chelseas, the Candaces, the Nias even. They can't face the Avengers.

Like what Becky did earlier this year with IYO. She still won, but that match was the first time since NXT where IYO felt like IYO again. |

Facing those women will do nothing for them because Rhea has single handedly trounced that entire Raw womens division. Like this is not even just an individual issue anymore this is a long f***ing booking issue....the constant need to super over protect the tippy top women on this roster by making every other woman look like absoloute shit and doesn't help that the likes of Charlotte and especially Bianca just choose to f***ing no sell thus giving nothing to their opponent just further heightening how much worse it all is. Nah, it makes more sense to face them than face the 3 most OP women on the roster like they're facing now because they're closer to their level. Even if Rheas destroyed them nobody believe they can face these current babyfaces. Like I said, it's like facing The Shield on a team. It's like facing Cena, Orton and Batista on a team. Sure, you could beat them but you gotta make sure it makes sense and right now from a storyline perspective Bayley's causing too many issues for them so you gotta get Bayley out of the way first and then we'll see other things change. The problem is nobody knows if Iyo will be champion by the time Bayley leaves. For as far as we know Bayley will force Iyo to lose the title and then Bayley will be kicked out.
The Bayley storyline's bringing in the Ls for em.
Secondly, we still can't be giving wrestlers crap for not selling when the producers of matches tell these wrestlers not to sell. It's been said so many times by people. It's not their faults. Seth was told to stop selling that bad back injury after those Nakamura matches even if it doesn't make sense. It ain't on them come on now.

You do realize the absolutely terrible optics that were displayed tonight, right? It was basically an extended squash of Bianca completely leveling Kairi. Why should fans take Kairi seriously now? Oh wait, they won't. Because Triple H in his INFINITE WISDOM thought "Goddamn Bianca needs a strong win tonight" for no real reason. And the logic of kicking Bayley out of the group won't fix the problem either. They already made that clear at the start of the show tonight where Bianca, Charlotte, and Shotzi all took out Iyo, Kairi, and Asuka without breaking a sweat. And Bayley wasn't around. I guess I don't see how any of this helps them in the long term or the short term. The storyline with Bailey does much more for her than them so they will spend all of this time losing for a storyline that doesn't really elevate any of the rest of them.
I also don't understand how they have the flashiest most exciting wrestler on the female roster (Io) wrestling a cowardly heel rest hold laden style, instead of being a babyface against a roster of women ho would be great bases for her.

Even that intro beatdown tonight just showed that the babyfaces are in a stronger league than Damage CTRL. Bayley being out of the group is going to be one of the classic "now they're stronger than ever now that the weak link is gone" things they always do in wrestling. It doesn't make sense but we've seen them pull that so many times and when the storyline is more about Bayley being a problem, it just is what it is.
The problem is honestly that people like Damage CTRL so much they wish we could just get to them winning and being cheered and being great rather than what's going on prior. I get it but shit, we know that can't happen yet.
This is simply not what they are presenting. If the bad guys are cheating, they absolutely should be winning matches on random Smackdowns. Then the good guy wins the big one when it really counts.

Bianca wasn't stopped because the reality is Bayley is causing problems. That's why the Youtube video is more about Bayley failing to help than Bianca being so strong. I get people just wanna bash Bianca and her strength but even the video's putting emphasis on Bayley being the failure here and that's the story they wanna tell. Damage CTRL needs to build themselves back up because with Dakota injured and Bayley not only failing but causing her group to look at her sideways, it ain't a good look for em. In their defense, it's not like Bianca is "bad backed Seth" and still out-thwarting the heels who are at full power like he was doing these past few months. Bianca is at full power, the heels are having internal problems, it makes sense. We've really seen worse in this company.

It took them a while before they started to work and that's only with their current alignment. Damage CTRL is trying to be the New Damage CTRL.

I mean right now the bigger question is why is Triple H going back to the status quo of having Bianca and friends whale on Damage CTRL, when the whole Damage CTRL running over people thing was absolutely bringing in huge numbers? Tonight was the worst of Bianca on full display. But funny enough there is a match IMO her best match of the year infact that just so happens to be the complete opposite of tonight. Hmmmm which one is it again.  Oh yea. Now why besides the obviousness of the crowd did this work so damn well hmmmmm. Is it because she won? or was it the fact that Bianca actually had to look beatable and struggle and thus IYO got to shine and show what she could actually do instead of being goobed to protect the already OP super protected and even in defeat came out of this match with red hot momentum?? It is almost like a super competitive match where she looks highly beatable just happens to work for everybody involved even if she wins in the end. |

From a writing perspective this is supposed to be their "weak point" so once it's handled they'll be stronger given their problems won't be there.
So yeah, we gotta agree to disagree.
We'll see what happens these next few months.

I get the Bayley direction you are trying to point out and how things will improve when she gets the boot. Naw son all you have to do it look at the start of the show tonight like someone already pointed out.....They had the numbers game and Bayley was nowhere to be found and they still got f***ined goobed. Again naw son you can spin this any positive way but tonight showed definitively their direction...and when Bayley gets the boot guess who is taking the losses to build her up to likely beating IYO for the title? give you one clue they are a group of female goobs who will have formerly been her friends. There is no positive here untill they absoloutley disolve the entire group and even then idk if it ends any better for them individually. |

Straight up, most fans don't think Kairi had a shot against Bianca the moment this match was announced and that ain't Triple H's fault, it was because Bianca had years worth of booking under her belt and Kairi even when she was in the company was Asuka's fallgirl. Her coming back didn't change that. They gotta work on building her up more. Secondly, this is the so called "superbooked Bianca Belair", it's the Lesnar situation in that anyone who she beats makes sense because she's built up that way. People are treating it like Bianca's Nikki Cross or something when nope, it's expected. The only way Kairi was winning that match is if someone else other than Bayley came out and helped her cheat and yeah, that would work but that's not the story. The story is Bayley's causing issues for the group and Bayley was told to stay back but she didn't and she caused a problem. Even the Youtube video is titled "Bayley fails to help Kairi."
Even that intro beatdown tonight just showed that the babyfaces are in a stronger league than Damage CTRL. Bayley being out of the group is going to be one of the classic "now they're stronger than ever now that the weak link is gone" things they always do in wrestling. It doesn't make sense but we've seen them pull that so many times and when the storyline is more about Bayley being a problem, it just is what it is.
The problem is honestly that people like Damage CTRL so much they wish we could just get to them winning and being cheered and being great rather than what's going on prior. I get it but shit, we know that can't happen yet.
Nah, yall treat Bianca, Charlotte and Becky like the Avengers given they're so OP so yeah it's the Avengers. Damage CTRL ain't Thanos, they're just not built up as that, we gotta be real here. They're built up like arc level Spidey villains. Like, if Bianca is Lesnar you won't be seeing Lesnar lose some random match due to heels of their level. Bianca wasn't stopped because the reality is Bayley is causing problems. That's why the Youtube video is more about Bayley failing to help than Bianca being so strong. I get people just wanna bash Bianca and her strength but even the video's putting emphasis on Bayley being the failure here and that's the story they wanna tell. Damage CTRL needs to build themselves back up because with Dakota injured and Bayley not only failing but causing her group to look at her sideways, it ain't a good look for em. In their defense, it's not like Bianca is "bad backed Seth" and still out-thwarting the heels who are at full power like he was doing these past few months. Bianca is at full power, the heels are having internal problems, it makes sense. We've really seen worse in this company.

Damage CTRL is cool and they're awesome and we want them to be winning and to be cheered and all that but we know they just can't get to that immediately just like they can't get to anything immediately. We gotta get this Bayley crap outta the way, we gotta get Dakota healed again and then we will see some stuff. It's like Judgement Day. I absolutely would not be shocked if she isn't champion by time Wrestlemania rolls around, if just for the fact that she's curiously omitted from the Elimination Chamber poster, but Bianca is on it. And both Bianca and Charlotte have made it very clear they want to face each other at Wrestlemania. For the title. One on one. Triple H is gonna cave and give it to them, despite the fact that the odds of the match being any good are slim at best, since neither woman likes to sell for the other. Iyo will be lucky to even be on the pre-show with as much jobbing as she's gonna do. |

People always say that Bianca and Charlotte are too OP all the time so considering that why would anyone think Damage CTRL is going to win a straight fight with them? Who would believe they can tussle with these women? They gotta cheat and when the cheating doesn't help you (Bayley tonight) then yeah you gonna take an L.
Bayley being kicked out is the classic wrestling "we've gotten the weak link out of the group and now they're united, morale's boosted and they're stronger than ever" thing. We've seen this in wrestling for decades now. Luckily, this group's got peaks and valleys with different eras.
- Bayley/Dakota/Iyo era where they won
- Bayley/Iyo/Injured Dakota era where they lost more - Current era where they're losing more even with Iyo as champion and Bayley causing them issues
- Future era where Bayley's out and Dakota's healed up (they'll win again until they break up)
That just makes more sense than them winning in this era and then winning again when Dakota's returned.
I get people don't like it but we've seen how "weak link" storylines go especially when they remove the weak link. Even Bryan was called the weak link even though that guy was doing wild then.

I’ve been on this board for 18 years, and I’ve learned many things. One of them is that there isn’t one booking criticism in existence that doesn’t get completely dismissed if it’s to the benefit for one’s favourite talent instead.
I feel like the issue with “Super Bianca” isn’t with the concept of one talent effortlessly beating others as a concept, no no no, it’s that it isn’t “Super Iyo” instead. The fact we’re already shitting on the possible babyface turn for Bayley that we’ve been GAGGING FOR for the sheer fact that she’s probably gonna beat Kai, Sane and Asuka to get it over is also insane to me.
If this is conduct unbecoming of a mod, so be it, but CHILL THE ACTUAL F*** OUT. Shit’s not real, stop acting like it is.

God damn, y’all are typing some manuscripts in here. I was just hoping they’d pull the trigger with Bayley tonight. The faces had the big win at the PPV in the gimmick match. It’s documented that she tried to play the hero and save everyone, took all the babyface finishes and a plunder finish and ate the pin. The rest of the group is at odds with her and she knows what’s happening. There’s no need to plod out more of the super Bianca/Queen Charlotte/bumbling Shotzi wins over the hapless heels (the booking of Bianca and Charlotte being a whole other thing that…yeah). Just move the story along.
