I figured Jayne would be going back heel eventually, but it would’ve been more like what people suggested and having her use the calendar money to buy out the school for her own purposes, leaving it to Hail to try and beat her in a match for the money and to get Chase’s name back on it. This seems random.

Feels like one of the NXT writers suddenly got replaced with someone inferior recently, which would explain the abruptness.

Nick Bonanno, who wrote and produced for WWE NXT is no longer with the company, per Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

The site notes that Bonanno was a part of NXT creative and he finished up with WWE following their latest television taping. He was with WWE since 2022.

Yeah, Nick Bonanno definitely was the man who wrote the Chase U arc.
