Final Fantasy VII. It'll forever be my favorite game just because of the experience of playing it for the first time.
There are also a few cases in the Ace Attorney series I'd love to experience for the first time again, without the knowledge of where they were going.

Super Mario Bros., easily.
The awe I had at the scope of that game and the amount secrets to be found was just incredible. It really felt like anything could happen.
I don’t think anything could replicate the feeling of finding the warp zone in 1-2 for the first time.

Killer7
Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3
Silent Hill 1 &2 (Although at least the first one would seem super dated now in terms of graphics)

Mega Man 4
Had someone I knew who spoiled this for me as a child, so I knew how it was going to end. However, if you took that out of the equation, that would have been a fun revelation given that on the surface Dr. Cossack wasn't very cool, but then after you beat him, you get a whole other chapter of the game, and even when I beat it years later, it was a cool moment.

Shenmue.
I know maybe that's a weird pick, but there it is.

It would be kind of nice to play Undertale without having the entire thing already spoiled for me.
Also definitely Chrono Trigger and Earthbound.

Doom The first FPS I ever played, and man, was it a blast to slaughter your way to the Spider Mastermind. All the night-long lan parties with school mates were so much fun. Some of my fondest memories.
Resident Evil Hmmm, what am I supposed to do ne...Ah f***! Decapitated by a hunter! Probably the PS1 game I played the most. Still fun to play today.
Super Mario 3 Goomba's Shoe, bitches! The first two were great, but I think it's with 3 that the series found its format. Also still fun to play today. Hasn't really aged, I think.

I wanted to create this thread because I've been thinking about Hypnospace Outlaw a lot lately for some reason, and it reminded me of what an amazing bloody game it is. For something that at first seems wacky, borderline shitpost-y, and like just an interesting nostalgia act, it ended up being one of the most genuinely emotional games, and work of ficiton in general, I've ever had the pleasure to experience. And I'm gonna be honest, at some point it kind of gave me a minor existential breakdown. Because it does such a fantastic job of recreating the look and feel of early Internet, it made me realize just how much smaller nowadays' Internet feels, and just how much we've lost thanks to corporate invasion. It feels like we've wasted the potential of something amazing, which... is very fitting considering the game's themes. However, as dreadful as that realization was, it also made me value the efforts to keep the Internet creative and rekindled my optimism that perhaps someday it can go back to being a place where people express themselves in a positive, creative way without the constant pressure for interaction with everything and constant desperate attention grabs from every single direction. It's made me want to do more to support artists, individual creativity, blogs, personal website, etc... It made me want to become the change I want to see. I want to believe it's not too late. And of course, there's also the story, or rather stories. All of these people whose lives you end up following, wishing them the best, rooting for them, wishing you could reach out and support them when tragedy strikes them. It's touching. Yeah, if I had to describe Hypnospace Outlaw in one word, I think that'd be it: touching. If you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend it, and I recommend going in as blind as possible. The discovery is what it's all about. Make no mistake, I'll still enjoy going through it, and in fact after beating the game, perhaps I'll just enjoy visiting the various pages and trying to find all the little easter eggs I've missed (there are SO MANY!!), but I'll never recapture the feelings I got the first time playing it. And that's fine, but I do wish I could experience it again. forgot to quote this, did you end up trying the FPS based in the hypnospace outlaw world slayers x? its really fun Funny you mention it, I literally only found out about it earlier today. I'll probably give it a shot at some point. It's gotta be fun and apparently has more Seepage stuff, which is my jam.

I don't think I'd like many of my favourite games as much as I played them for the first time today. Especially anything from the PS1 or PS2 eras. Largely due to a lack of patience these days.
Earthbound was already dated when I played it at emulation is better now so I suppose that's the best option. Or Dark Souls remastered instead of suffering blightown on PS3.

Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past Got this well before I had internet access and discovered what I thought was everything on my own. Reminded me a lot of playing the NES Zelda, only I was able to beat this one first. Only discovered in the past month or so that, while I had 100% everything, there was one interaction I never knew about. No other game I've played has had the same sense of discovery.

Portal/ Portal 2. I loved figuring out the puzzles the first time and I wish I could feel that sense accomplishment again.

BTW, part of the inspiration for making this thread was also Fredrik Knudsen saying he wishes he could play Outer Wilds for the first time again. And while it's not to the same extent as HO to me, I can see what he means, especially it's also a game that's all about exploration and discovery. Such a clever concept executed so well.
With that said, I can see myself enjoying just visiting that tiny yet massive-feeling universe. It's one of those games that just has an amazing audio-visual identity, so just taking it in without even playing can be enjoyable.

DKC2 is probably my favorite game of all-time, but playing it as a child and how it affected me growing up has so much to do with my connection to it. The music made me feel things, and exploring those creative moody worlds made me both appreciate & understand melancholy opposed to fearing those sad emotions. In my 30s, I'd still love it for it's fun gameplay and atmosphere, and be in awe of what they managed to produce on a SNES, but it wouldn't hit the same way.
Maybe the original Silent Hill? Or MGS1? Or something else like it with a deeper story layered with metaphors that maybe went over my head as a teen. Or it could be a game I adored from recent times, like Pikmin 4, where I beat the game and got platinum on all the dandori missions but still wanted to more. Very rarely do I ever go full-in on a game, and these days I find my love for gaming dwindling a bit, but that game made me feel like a kid again. It's my GotY, and I wish I could just replay it with fresh eyes.

Oh, easy - Outer Wilds and Return of the Obra Dinn.
Love those two, but it'd be great to experience the initial mystery and discovery again.

Two of my favorite games to play ever.
