There was actually a game in the 1940's between the Giants and Lions that ended in a 0-0 tie but that was before overtime existed.

Bruh Don't worry. I'm still seeing Chief's fans saying they got screwed by a bad offsides call.

Bruh Yeah, itโs a good call, but you have the benefit of that particular view. Mahomes didnโt have that angle and will likely either feel like an ass when the Tuesday film session occurs or will at least get mocked for it.

He didn't say a damn thing about MVS being tackled with the ball in the air last week... Toney literally pointed at the ref and was told he was fine... The Chiefs wear the black hat so people hate them but God damn, they got hosed on that. www.nfl.com/news/chiefs-hc-andy-reid-says-kadarius-toney-didn-t-check-with-ref-before-penalty-we-I'd like to know what the other side to it is, according to Andy Reid. "He was only barely offsides, so they should've let it go" isn't really a strong argument. Yeah, itโs a good call, but you have the benefit of that particular view. Mahomes didnโt have that angle and will likely either feel like an ass when the Tuesday film session occurs or will at least get mocked for it. Mahomes saw it and somehow decided to double-down on his criticism of the call. twitter.com/TheAthletic/status/1734177276659433683The Chiefs look really bad for *checks notes* criticizing the referees for making the correct call. And Mahomes looks worse, because his two biggest gripes were that a) the refs should've swallowed the whistle because it was a cool play and b) you should be able to commit penalties if they don't directly impact the outcome of the play.

Mahomes didnโt have that angle and will likely either feel like an ass when the Tuesday film session occurs or will at least get mocked for it. I think it was redirected aggression because he didn't want to bury Toney so he attacked the officiating instead.
And the Chiefs are acting like the flag was thrown after the fact when it was thrown just after the ball was snapped. The only mistake the refs did was not blowing the play dead after the offsides because it was essentially treated like a free play like when the defense is offsides. Unless they did and I didn't hear the whistles over the commentary and crowd noise.
Also the whole "Toney checked with the official and got the thumbs up" thing didn't happen, either. That happened to the Commies last year and they had a legit gripe. Chiefs just look like sore losers.

As many calls as the Chiefs have gotten the last few years Mahomes is going to get rightfully roasted for his reaction to this call.

Donโt you let it play out in case the defense makes a big play? You want a delayed flag? The Colts/Bengals game had a ridiculously late flag. Donโt get me wrong, the Colts played like shit yesterday. Next to no one on the team handled the weather well at all. They lost that game and they should have lost that game, but the Bengals still had plenty of help from the refs at critical moments that assured that the Colts didnโt get a chance to recover from their garbage performance. The end result probably would have been the same with even officiating, but thatโs not what happened. - The first was on the screen pass that became a 54 yd TD that let the Bengals take a 7-0 lead. They totally missed Kenny Moore II getting blocked from behind. Without it, Moore could have gotten a tackle for a loss. Sure, the rest of the DBs screwed up but Mixon shouldnโt have even gotten to them. This happened right in front of the refs and like Sgt Schultz, they saw nothing. - The next was the phantom holding call I alluded to earlier. Kenny Moore stopped a scramble by Browning that could have forced them to kick a FG. The flag came as the teams were already changing personnel and CBS never showed the penalty unlike every other penalty ever. Iโm cheesed about not being able to know if it was a proper call or not. - The Bengals benefited from a handful of DPI calls that probably wouldnโt even get called in flag football while the Colts didnโt get similar calls. If they called those evenly I would have no issue, but they absolutely did not. - The one that pissed me off the most was the Zach Moss 10 yd TD run that should have made it a 1 score game get called back on a phantom holding call that even all of the announcers all uniformly disagreed with after airing the replay.

My attitude for the Giants is win - win. You win great, another step towards playing well in the 2nd half and build towards next year, if you lose, it helps your draft position. I know they are not making the playoffs, nor get the number 1 pick, kind of in limbo of just don't embarrass yourself.

Ref$ just give the Packer$ a first down for no reason I'll go ahead and agree with that. I know the Giants suck balls, but making it an 18-on-11 affair doesn't help matters either.
