The Hardy’s going from the team teenage girls watched for to grizzled veterans.
When Nickelodeon did the reboot of All That a few years ago, the New Day had a guest appearance, and Kofi did an interview talking about being a big fan of the original show. As in, he was watching when I was, and when I was also idolizing pro wrestlers.

When I think about how long ago the Attitude Era was. That felt like the "new" era of wrestling as opposed to the Hogan Era or the New Generation when I first was watching wrestling and learning about it through tape rentals. Now, Wrestlemania XIV is over 25 years ago. It's as old to us today as WWWF Title Reigns of Pedro Morales and Bruno Sammartino were then - and that stuff felt like it was in the Stone Age at that time. There are college students who probably think "Who cares about Stone Cold, The Rock, or any of those guys from the 1900s?". As a side note, I work at a college and it's shocking how many early 20s people call pre-2000 "The 1900s". That makes me feel old. Makes it sound like us 80s babies were born in the Great Depression or something. Not only that, but VCRs were still the prominent recording device then. To add to this thread, Roman Reigns who's three months away from being 39 is older than Eddie Guerrero when he passed at 38 years and 1 month.

I mean, for me personally anything after like 2001 is “new” for whatever reason. It’s like time stopped for me then wrestling-wise.
I still see guys like Orton, Cena, Punk and the like as “newer” guys despite them being on the downhill slides of their careers. I’m only 32 so I was a really young fan when I was watching regularly so after my interested kind of dulled down I just lost touch.

Randy Orton is now older than his father was when I started seeing him in the WWF as Piper's bodyguard (Bob was 34 in 1984, Randy is now 43).
I also remember what those little ropes are for in tag team matches...

I just saw a tweet from Izzy, the Bayley superfan, her as a wrestler working an angle with Thunder Rosa.

-That Matt Hardy is only a few months away from being 50, and Adam Copeland is _already_ 50. -DX vs. Taker/Kane in Saudi Arabia. -Rock's fully-grown daughter is on the roster.

I just read that the One Man Gang/Akeem turned 64 today. That means when he debuted in the WWF in 1987, he was 27. When he left the company, he was still only 30. My 46-year-old brain can hardly process that.

That when I first saw Sting, he was only 8 years into his pro wrestling career.
