Last week, WWE posted a 16-match tournament to allow fans to vote for the 2023 Match of the Year. The matches above are in the bracket. Which of the above was your Match of the Year? And if it wasn't included, which would you have chosen?

Usos vs Sami and KO at Mania
Just perfection. Yeah, you could say there were a lot of kickouts but that was the culmination of the Usos run. Every single trick they tried, tricks that had carried them through that run, failed in that match. They pulled out every trick they could, and Sami and KO were the ones to finally slay them.
My top 3 made the bracket, Sami and Ko vs Usos at Mania, the Bloodline Civil War, and Priest vs Bad Bunny.

For my tastes alone, I went Gunther/Sheamus/Drew but I get why any of these matches would get a nod.

I can't believe those sons of bitches posted their "match of the year" before the R Truth Miracle on 34th Street Fight

My brain says Dragunov vs Hayes but my heart says KO/Sami vs Usos.
f*** it, it's all about making people feel something, so the tag match wins.

Probably one from that streak of tag matches with Usos v Sami/KO at Mania, Sami/KO v Roman/Solo at NOC and Usos v Roman/Solo at MITB. Probably have to go with the Mania match.
Bianca/IYO and Priest/Bad Bunny are up there too. Backlash had the best PPV crowd of the year.
It would have easily been Roman-Cody if Cody won. Watching that live felt like watching the biggest match in years. It was such a great match and incredible atmosphere then left me feeling so deflated when Cody lost. They must be banking on Roman, Cody and the Philly crowd in April reaching those or even greater heights.

No Gigi Dolin vs. Tatum Paxley on LVL UP?
I'd go with either Charlotte vs. Rhea or Drew vs. Sheamus vs. GUNTHER, but based on atmosphere and story? Yeah, I can't argue with anyone who says KO & Sami vs. the Usos.

I've gone up and down the list several times and changed my mind every time I did. It really tells you the quality of the content right now that *any* of those can reasonably win the vote and that's not even factoring in another half dozen that could easily be on here too
I'm gonna go Usos vs KO/Sami.
Though Priest/Bad Bunny was damn close. That match was insanely good and completely sold me on Priest as a main eventer/World Champion

It was a year that had a lot of great matches but not a match that really stands out to me as an all timer. I went with the Usos/Owens & Zayn tag match.

Priest vs. Bad Bunny. For the culture. The only way that thing could have been better would be if the Force Ghost of Eddie Guerrero appeared too.

I went for Reigns vs Sami. It felt special like a Mania Main Event. Shout outs to Priest vs Bad Bunny at Backlash & Gunther/Sheamus/Drew at Mania.

The IC Triple threat at Mania for me. Not as good as Sheamus v Gunther at CATC but still amazing.
The men’s Rumble match and Wes Lee v Dijak at Vengeance Day are both better though.

Was prepared to come saying take your pick from any GUNTHER match this year, but wrestling needs to make me feel something in order to stand the test of time, and the Usos/Sami & KO gave me the most of that something this year.

Gunther, Sheamus, and Drew was just three dudes beating the shit out of each other and that’s exactly what I wanted from it. Good stuff, that one.

It's a three-horse race for me.
1) The Men's WrestleMania Showcase Match - Laugh all you want, but that match BROUGHT IT. It was 8 and a half minutes of four guys knowing they had to get everything in, and putting the pedal to the metal to accomplish that goal. Everything felt so frantic, so impactful, and at the same time so important. It was a perfect, violent sprint. Not everything has to be a 30-minute Broadway, sometimes you just want eight guys throwing out every special they've got because this is their lone chance to shine on a global stage. Everyone got a moment to shine, and what should have been a bathroom break for the live audience turned out to arguably be the best match of the entire year.
2) Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest - It was a fun hardcore match that got elevated to a higher level thanks to one of the best live crowds in WWE history. From the pop for Bad Bunny's entrance and the crowd singing his song, to Bad Bunny continuing to show that he's one of the two or three best celebrity wrestlers ever, to the responses for the return of Carlito and Savio Vega, it had it all. The match above this one was all about how intense wrestling can be, the match below this one was all about how emotional wrestling can be, and this one was about how much fun wrestling can be.
3) The Usos vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn - Sometimes wrestling can get you to FEEL, and this match did just that. It was a match that had been building for almost a year, but it was more than just a storyline, it was a classic in-ring performance by four of the very best who understand the emotional ties that bind wrestling fans to the sport.

That match should be the template for getting midcard talent on the show and letting said talent to whatever they can to make everyone in the match come out better than they went in.
