Maclin and Mason took their street fight into the actual street and Maclin took a back body drop in the road like a psycho

Red challenged Ali to put the X title on the line…which got a big pop. He agreed to. Kind of amazing as a one off that Amazing Red is fighting for that title again that he first held over twenty years ago and last held in 2010.

Speedball and Kenny King had a phenomenal Bloodsport type match on Impact a year or so ago. Nemeth looks better to me in literally every environment than WWE. Bloodsport…New Japan…TNA…I wish he’d have been released half a decade earlier. If Dolph had left 8-10 years ago I think he would’ve ended up a massive star on the Indy scene. Now, it’s pretty damn crowded. He’s gonna do good, but I think he could’ve been so much more if he had left sooner I agree. I was saying this back then. When he was complaining on Twitter, but was scared to do what Cody had the balls to do. And I say that as someone that likes Dolph more than Cody. But Dolph chose the safe money and continued signing contract extensions with WWE to sit in catering and complain on Twitter.

It was great to hear how over Pom Harajuku is. Apparently she had one the biggest lines after the show too (as in signings, not a TK style line).
Miu Watanabe always gives everything but I don't think I've ever seem her so hyped as that opening performance.

Decided day of to pick up a ticket to the Clusterf***…what a fun show! Might have been the most fun I had this weekend. I'm not sure I've seen anything as simultaneously awful and amazing. A complete mess, a cage I was worried would collapse, botch filled and a slog at times but many great moments, the singalong and the ridiculous ending run of Wrestlers was brilliant. Just a shame Shoka wasn't there with the other kaijui. The sound guy finally being the biggest heel was fitting after the weekend, gcw x tjpw in particular. Talking of long slogs I hated the two big singles matches at Spring Break. Plus Danhausen being so bad but at least the other 3 could carry that. Thankfully there was enough good to stop it going full hammerstein. I'll echo the Veda Scott love, her voice was failing she'd talked so much. Being a clear genuine tjpw fan makes up for Emil's pronunciations, I hope she calls a show in Japan with Brookes one day.

Spyder Nate Webb alone would have justified any expense to make it out there. The whole thing was surreal. It’s literally impossible to list the highlights. Like you said, it has to be experienced live. Nate Webb’s entrance was undoubtedly a highlight for me.

Finally tally, between Thursday morning and the end of XL Sunday I watched 43.5 hours of wrestling. Not including anything from WO/F4W Video. I don’t think I left my house the entire time 😳

I hate that copout finish for I Quit matches
It's telling a larger story than just the one match, with the feud continuing into the future. This particular match wasn't supposed to be the end of the feud. There needs to be reasons that their differences are still not settled. To me, it's smart booking.
Then don’t do an I Quit match. Threatening the partner//manager/best friend/girlfriend/mother/dog/whatever is always just a shitty copout for an I Quit finish. I always hate it. Completely kills the gimmick of the I Quit match It’s never a good idea to book a gimmick match and then say “alright, now how do we work around actually paying off the finish?”. Same with Last Man Standing matches where you hogtie the opponent to something so they are physically restrained from standing up, not that you knocked them out and they were unable to answer a 10 count.

I get the problem with the I Quit match, particularly because I went to FSW here in Vegas last weekend before Collective, and they had an I Quit match that ran the exact same finish, so I already knew as soon as Allie ran out that this was going to end up with Mance using her to get EFFY to quit.

The babyface said "I quit" on the microphone, so the stipulation was followed through on.
The heel forced the babyface to say those words due to threatening someone the babyface cares about.
A finish based on the emotions involved in the story that is being told.
The feud goes on.
Works for me.
Different strokes, I guess.
See, when I hear “I Quit Match” I expect someone getting beaten or stretched so badly they have to push their ego to the side, admit defeat and say I Quit. Not that the bad guy is gonna pull out a .45 and threaten to shoot the babyfaces loved one unless they say I Quit. Just feels so f***ing cheap and against the spirt of the match, and not in a “that dastardly heel” way but in a “f*** this match” way
