I understand the logic, but it still stinks. Wrestlemania 20 should have been Benoit vs. Triple H. Wrestlemania 30 should have been Bryan vs. Orton. Wrestlemania 35 should have been Lynch vs. Rousey. Wrestlemania 40 should be Rhodes vs. Reigns. This shit should be so simple, and yet... I think Mania 30 was the right call doing the triple threat, Orton vs Bryan had already been done to death at that point. This year should be a one on one with Roman and Cody for sure, especially with a historic reign. Mania 20 they missed the boat with HBK vs The Rock WM30 had the added effect of having Bryan not only overcome the head of the Authority, but also their chosen champion and the returning former champion who thought he was going to be the conquering hero.

Im starting to think that Roman facing Rock at Mania might get Rocky the same reactions as Batista going into Wrestlemania 30 at this point.

I can see them wanting to have their cake and eat it with a triple threat. That also hides Rock being out of ring shape. I dont know that I think they will....but I can see them doing it. And even Mania 10 would've been Yoko vs. Luger vs. Bret in a triple threat had that match type existed in the WWF at the time.

I've mentioned it in another thread but I'm only interested in Roman/Cody 2 if Cody actually wins it this time.
The more they delay this finishing the story the sooner people are just going to stop caring.

Wrestlemania 39 was Cody's Rocky I (puts up a good fight but loses) Wrestlemania 40 should be Cody's Rocky II (earns a rematch against the champ and wins)

Yeah, 30 was fine for the intended story they wanted to tell if you ignore the fact none of that was the story they actually wanted to tell at all. If it's me, you do Seth/Punk N1 and Roman/Cody II N2 because those feel like the biggest matches you can do with what you have but if a TKO executive really wanted Rock/Roman to happen for 'Mania and ignore the Perth Government for EC, it'll happen.

I might be in the minority but neither.
Rock/Roman shouldn't have the title in the picture. And I hate the idea of the same main event two years in a row.
Speaks of no progression.

I really really really want to answer "nobody, he takes the weekend off like usual" just for the hell of it. It's not a very creative or even particularly funny answer, but I just can't help myself from thinking it.

If it’s the Rocknits an absolute shame. An almost 50 year old guy who wrestles in his spare time when he’s not making movies ends the long reign that nobody else on the roster could… unless they’re planning on Toman holding it until at least Summer Slam

I could see Roman vs Rock at EC, with Rock getting screwed in some fashion. Cody vs Roman at 'Mania, with Rock preventing Solo and Heyman interference to allow Cody to win to get Rock on the show in some fashion. That would actually work tremendously well for WWE's interests. They have Roman come into Mania with the 3 year title reign and a win over The Rock, Cody wins at EC to get the main event of Mania spot against Roman, and Rock gets screwed making him want revenge on Roman. Naturally, that would lead to Cody vs Roman II at Mania with the added wrinkle of having The Rock as the special guest enforcer for the match. That could bring the big lead up where Cody is suspicious of The Rock and teasing that The Rock may actually side with his family, then you get the moment in the big match where Rock can swing the match to Roman, but he instead helps Cody by taking out the Bloodline, Cody wins to finish the story, Rock helps to end Roman's reign as Tribal Chief, and Roman gets to take his vacation without holding up the belt this time. It also leaves a ton of stuff open for Roman vs Rock again down the line, Cody can move on to feuds with Orton, Styles, Kross, etc., and Heyman can move on to either rejoining Punk or managing a post-Mania debuting Bron Breakker.

Wrestlemania X style.
Roman Reigns vs. The Rock to open the show. Winner faces Cody at the main event later that night. Because he is the Rumble winner, he gets the 2nd title show.
Roman def. Rock.
Cody def. Roman later that night.
Rock is probably busy and needs to fly out after that match, so there you go.

Should only be Cody.
Roman needs to lose his titles to Cody clean with no astericks of having him wrestled The Rock the previous night so he is not 100% bs that they would absoloutley pull. t Anything but stricly a 1 on 1 match only with Cody for the titles is a complete and utter failure and a waste of everyones time who has stayed invested in Cody despite him losing last year.
