In 2004, WWE launched its subscription VOD service, WWE 24/7. I was so jealous of Blue Ridge Cable because it was the first company to sign on with WWE’s new product. On the old EZBoard forum (how’s THAT for feeling old?) I remember someone starting a thread about “boring crap you’ve seen on WWE 24/7.” And someone else responded “hey, at least you can watch it!” I had to wait two years before Comcast finally came on board.
It’s wild to think how far we’ve come since then in terms of how we can watch classic footage. And how WWE’s tape library has grown.
Oh, and I turned 21 in ‘04.

2004 was a really up and down year for me. Chaotic first year of college, but I also started a long term romantic relationship and made a number of lifelong friends.

Do the EZboard archives even exist anymore? Your post made me curious about it and I tried Googling it. Not much came up aside from a post on another forum linking to the EZboard one. But it was a dead link so either they messed up that link, just that thread is gone, or the archives as a whole are gone.

When we moved here I believe there was a link to the old forum at first, then EZBoard cleaned it out and there was hardly anything to look at. I did find THIS, however. officialfan.proboards.com/thread/323156/welcome-new-wrestlecrap-boardsNext year will be TWENTY YEARS since we moved to Proboards. Now I really feel old.

This is not 2004, but several years ago I was explaining something to one of our summer student workers. When I finished I said "and now you know, and knowing is half the battle". She stared at me blankly. "GI Joe?" "Did you just age yourself 10 years?" I didn’t want to start a whole new thread about it, but since you gave a similar example… One thing that makes me feel a million years old is YouTubers younger than me talking about, “the early days of the Internet.” I remember being in junior high school and earlier. Teachers would reminisce then about, “the early days of the Internet” when they used it in the 1980s at universities before it was more broadly used by the general public. And believe it or not those weren’t the true early days of the Internet either. So on the video I’m watching now the guy mentions, “the early days of the Internet” and when do you think he’s talking about? The early 1990s? The late 1990s? Maybe at least 2006 when YouTube was still new. Try 2012! That is nuts. I wonder how they would react to learn that most of the population is older than google. I literally remember in middle school being taught about search engines.

The smoking ban came in here 20 years ago and now there's grown-ass adults that never had the experience of going into a cafe/bar/restaurant/public transport and coming out stinking like absolute shit.

I was 26 in 2004, and I still feel and look like I'm 26. I know how much time has passed, it just doesn't feel like it. I guess its a mental thing.

2004 was when my ex fiance and I broke up and then I found out later she cheated on me and a supposed best friend of mine ran interference so I wouldn’t find out. He always had a crush on her and figured that was his way in.
I didn’t respond well and regret how I handled the breakup and aftermath. Only positive was the guy who I thought was my friend ended up having everyone turn on him, including her.
Really horrible year of my life I wish I could take back.
Was only redeemed with the Red Sox winning the title.

2004 was the year I got my first job, a few weeks before my 19th birthday, 2 days after spending the weekend at my uncle’s wedding to my step aunt and 7 months after I’d left school. Next Thursday, now 39, I ‘celebrate’ the fact that I’ve spent half of that 20 years in my current job
2004 was also the year, prior to the last 3 seasons, that Everton had last been in a relegation battle in the Premier League, the Euros had the biggest shock winner in Greece and Football as a whole was at its peak, not completely reliant on big money and no game ruining technology

There was still a Red Sox curse that year.
