The women’s rumble was filled with botches, I have no idea why everyone seemed off, it’s like cues were constantly missed. I don’t know how many times even Irish whips were messed up. The first 70% was kind of meh but the final third really picked up. The crowd LOVED Jade and that stare down with Bianca means a match at WM will be money. What a great way to introduce her by single handedly eliminating Nia Jax. Also happy to see Naomi and Liv back. The ending was fantastic, the last 6-7 eliminations were so clever.
The men’s was the opposite, the first half was good and then fell flat later on. Cody and Punk going another 10ish mins on their own was so bad. Whoever hit a move, Punk was slow to get up, it couldn’t be action packed and fast paced because of it. It looked really bad when Punk couldn’t even lift Drew up for a GTS. Based on that alone I’m really glad Cody won. Our surprises were Andrade, Omos, and Sami Zayn which was fine. I didn’t like having Miz and Ricochet towards the end.

Woman's rumble was great and better than the men's this year to be honest. 7/10
The 4 way I thought was mid at best but I was not invested in it because we all know who was winning that. 4/10
I liked the KO VS Logan Paul match. I get why people hated the ending but I don't think it was as bad as people say it was. 7/10
Men's rumble was ok. Not as good as the women's but I don't think I'd call it awful either. 6/10
Overall I'm gonna say high 6/low 7. Show was not mind blowing but I don't think it was offensively bad either. I enjoyed it and that's what matters.

I haven't read this thread yet or anyone else's opinion on the show, so here are my fresh thoughts as a former hardcore fan who mainly only watches select PPVs these days:
The women's Rumble, despite not knowing at least half of the talent, really impressed me. Some really great girls in that match, and normally I don't care as much about the women's division outside of a select few favs, but I left that match with a new interest in a few people. That buff chick from TNA made my dad and I mark out despite never seeing her or knowing anything about her. That Jade girl looks like a star, acted like a star, and was perfectly booked in this match to become a star. This was my match of the night, and Bayley winning was just icing on the cake. By far, this was the best women's Rumble yet. Oh yeah, the R-Truth thing got a good laugh out of me!
Owens vs Logan Paul was good. I am continuously impressed by Paul, and the ending was fine considering he doesn't work tv matches to do typical schmooze endings. I feel like there is a good story here where scammer douchebag Logan Paul keeps screwing over all these people for the US title, and then come Wrestlemania, he is forced into a multi-man match with everyone he has screwed over for the past few months, and they just annihilate him and give him the ultimate comeuppance. Maybe add AJ and LA Knight to the mix.
The 4-way match was fine. Not much to say about it.
The men's Rumble was largely disappointing, but not outright horrible. Bron Breakker, that athletic big viking dude, Gunther, Cody, Dom, and even Omos helped carry it for me. The first half was largely boring outside the Usos starting off together. Kofi is wrestling in his boxers now and doesn't even get a fun elimination spot. Pat McAfee, while I understand he has an audience outside the wrestling bubble and they want to take advantage of that, is very obnoxious, and his comedy entry and discussion afterward for several minutes took away from the match for me. There were no Legends, and the closest thing to a real surprise was Andrade (which was cool). Would it have been asking too much to bring back someone like Ken Shamrock or X-Pac or Savio Vega or f***ing Headbanger Mosh to at least add a fun moment for us old school guys? Just one is all I ask. I was very happy when Bron speared that small Pop Vinyl guy for no good reason. Anyway, onto Punk. Man...something was just not clicking with him tonight. I went in excited for him to win and left being fine with Cody winning. Punk looks good for a dude that's been around the block, his attire was cool, and it was a historic surreal moment after a decade of being away, but he felt stuck in first gear.
I don't know what the deal is with The Rock, but him coming back in early Jan and not being there tonight just makes me wish he waited until Feb or something to return. I have to think he's doing a triple threat with Cody instead of a one-on-one with Roman now.
As for the whole show, I'd probably put it at a 6 or 7.

Pretty boring show overall, I thought. I’m happy Cody won and WWE seems to be telling the story it needs to tell heading into WrestleMania.
Just a weird vibe with WWE right now too. I’ll go 5.

3. Endings of the Rumbles were fine, but the work before the endings was nothing at all with no creative or interesting spots really. The Roman match was the same one as the previous 50 he's had like this. KO/Logan was nothing at all with a horrible ending. The crowd was awful. The HHH presser was really awful. Not all that much to hold onto besides those two endings.

A 7. Maybe that’s too generous? The rumble matches were fine with the women’s slightly better and a better closing stretch. Owens v Logan was decent. Four way was a waste of time really Roman matches are played out. I won’t be rushing to revisit this show probably.

Boring show. There’s being predictable…then there is that show. The action was not good.
Roman’s matches suck total shit so here’s hoping he finally loses.
Gave it a 4 mostly for the Bayley win.

The dead crowd killed it. Worst arena in sports and apologies to Tampa fans, but the Rays, Lightening, and Bucs are also all the quietest crowds in sports. It was a terrible venue in a terrible market

We open with gross ass Hulk Hogan and THEN I get freaking Pat McAfee?? Why do you hate me universe?
Women's Rumble: Match of the night. I got Jordynne and Jade, and a kickass winner in Bayley. A lot of the botchiness....well.....look at the people it came from....
US Title: I made food. I miss Anger Management Kevin Owens.
Roman's long ass title name match: Same ol shit for over three years. Fundamentally fine, and Roman is a master crowd worker (the ones that were awake), but still.
Men's Rumble: BORING. AS. HELL. I understand Brock not being there messed things up from the sounds of it, but ugh. The agents (who are not HHH) should be ashamed.
I don't need nostalgia to enjoy a Royal Rumble, and I'm glad we don't have to rely on it anymore.
Biggest negatives: meh crowd, Pat McAfee, and the poster who mentioned the entrance music being an issue was dead on. Maybe the music people will get fired next.
Gonna go with 6.

A generous 6/10 from me. Fine with both Rumble winners, some fun spots, but a whole amount of nothing overall.

5/10. Both rumbles were good once entrant 30 hit, but not worth the repetitive, boring, paint by numbers 50 plus minutes to get to that point. Crowd being silent for so much of them hurt it too.
4 way was cheeks, and logan paul is insufferable.

Missed most of the Women’s Rumble because I was at a funeral. Rest of the show was pretty dull, though nothing was outright bad beyond Punk’s conditioning (and HHH’s PR training). Happy Cody won. Gonna be generous and give it a 4.

Went with a 5 because it was just kind of there.
Potential hot take/ unpopular opinion but I think the Rumble winner main eventing Mania is played out. The biggest issue I see with it is that they don't have anywhere near 30 people who would be believable in a Wrestlemania main event.

Ah I liked it a 9. Bailey deserved the win but was hoping a Dark Horse entrant like Shotzi won. But hey I got to see the Tank !
I wish there was a surprise mens TNA entrant. Maybe have Scott D'Amore come out and be the Rumble Iron Man or something.

I generally had a good time, though I didn't bother watching the fatal four way because there was zero possibility that Roman would lose. At least with the rumbles there were a few possible winners.
I already commented on the women's match but there were a lot of pretty good spots in it. I didn't see loads of bodies just lying around. There was often something going on. Yeah a few of the spots were flubbed a bit, but never so bad as to completely take away from things. Truth's spot was a lot of fun, Chelsea was entertaining, the stars were active. Jade's debut was pitch perfect. I enjoyed it.
I liked when Kevin Owens pulled a fast one with the power of the punch. It's just a shame they had the ref catch it. I get they likely want Logan Paul in WM but I think Kevin winning with the knuckles would have been the right call there.
I also enjoyed the Men's rumble largely. I will say that commentary was the weak part of it. We had stories like Andrade brushing off Escobar that barely got touched on. Worse the blood feud between Kofi and Ludwig Kaiser wasn't even mentioned for the first few minutes despite the fact that until that point they were exclusively going after each other and for good reason. I rather enjoyed that apart from a couple of heels, every time Jimmmmmmmmy tried to team up with someone they beat him down instead. I think a lot of seeds were planted or fertilized, I liked that recent events actually played a role. As much as it sucked for R-truth to get dumped like that, it made perfect sense after he screwed over Damian Priest. Which again, commentary dropped the ball on. I found the Pat McAfee spot vaguely humorous and inoffensive, though it might have gone over better if it had happened earlier. There was a part of me that briefly wondered if CM Punk was going to win, right up until he began to mouth off at the end. It was great character work though. I do think that while Dom is a heat magnet and a great punching bag, he probably shouldn't be lasting as long as he is in these rumbles.
I was a bit surprised that with Kofi, Naomi and Katana Chance that there were no Kofi spots. I didn't mind, it was just a bit surprising when each of them were dumped with no fanfare.
Overall I had a good time.

Definitely one of the weaker WWE PLEs in quite some time. Two Rumbles on one show always feels like a bit much. You only had 4 matches and one had zero drama as to who was going to win. During the Roman match, I was actually far more interested in the FTR/Garcia/Briscoe Vs House of Black cage match happening on Collision at the same time. Just seemed like a real paint by numbers show and the crowd not really being into it brought it down.
Also, I know they like the Rumble to be about surprises, but they’re getting to ECW territory where if there isn’t a huge surprise, it feels like a let down. And it was weird how there were like 12 total people announced ahead of time for both Rumbles combined. I think they need to put a little more effort into building the Royal Rumble event than they did this year. Both in terms of a better undercard and the Rumbles themselves.

I feel like they need to rethink how they produce these Rumbles. There needs to be more happening and the stars have to be distributed more evenly.

Both the Runbles were so paint by the numbers boring. The type of rumble you’d see in the late 80s/early 90s until we got to the final four. I think they hung their hats in that being enough to carry the match, it didn’t
You knew Reigns wasn’t losing the title so it killed a lot of drama you could have had for that match.
The KO/Paul ending was crap
Woman’s battle royal just seemed to exist.
One of my least favorite shows I’ve seen in a while
