I wouldn't have minded a few legends surprises and McAfee seemed like a wasted spot, but otherwise I had no major issues. Nobody had a Kofi like save spot, but Kofi botched the last two. I'm not sure if Ricochet was supposed to have done something or at least land on his feet. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Kairi was supposed to be saved with her spot, but it was a real risky spot because of that.

They need to drive a dump truck full of money to pat's house. He died in 2020.
They need to drive a dump truck full of money and a necromancer to Pat's grave.

They've been a bit samey and a little predictable. It's bad when Bayley comes out a low number like 3 and I 100% know she's gonna win. Same happened last year with Rhea at number 1. I think it's a bit early to judge, though.

I'll give him a pass on the men's Rumble because they had to replace Brock and had to reachable everything. But I thought last years rumbles were great I dunno what happened this year.

When did Triple H start "booking" the Rumble? (I put booking in quotations because I don't know how much of the match planning he actually does)
If I remember correctly he took over from Vince around Summerslam 2022. That means he's only been responsible for the 23 and 24 Rumbles. That's not a lot to judge.

Last two years have been better than before.
Even Cagematch ratings agree...

I swear i feel like I watched a different match because I thought both matches were strong. Less sizzle (guest appearances) and more steak (coherent storyline beats, of which they’re a A TON tonight) is right up my alley. I also think people forget how bad a lot of rumbles actually are thanks to nostalgia, lol Well I think we are quick to assign a rumble as bad based on the winner. HHH has booked good rumble winners. I’ll give him that. It’s just the slow pacing and a lot of meh packed in that don’t really make them a fun watch until the end moments.

I generally enjoyed the matches. There were some spots I might have done differently but I think they did a good job of giving people a chance to shine, hitting some big spots and big upping some people that needed it. Jade Cargill single handedly eliminating Nia after she'd been going on a tear was the perfect way to introduce her to the audience for example. All in all I generally enjoyed them this year.

They've become so lifeless and boring. Buzzer pops, music hits, entrant comes in, hits a few moves, lies around then for however many minutes til their elimination. Over and over. The last good Rumble was Brock wrecking entrant after entrant. 30 plus years of this and they're all outta ideas.

Not a bad one in that bunch. Even those with subpar winners and underwhelming entrant pools. 2001-2008 being really strong

Yeah that was great. The Brock stuff that carried on to entrant 16 was bad and not fun to watch imo. A tale of two halves if you will.

I think the lack of legends is the only thing hurting them (though the women’s last night I thought was fantastic). The match layouts and spots are very good. And I love the mini matches at the end that we’ve gotten two years in a row.

It seems like they need someone every year to go a full hour from the starting spot and it just loses any meaning when you do it that much.

I think he’s fine. Having the show in a baseball stadium is definitely a challenge to timing that most prior Rumbles didn’t have. Also there’s been like 40 Rumbles at this point. It’s hard to be groundbreaking all the time. The final stretches of both Rumbles last night were pretty strong, which is about all you can ask for, even if the rest of the match was just kinda paint by numbers.

I do think the men's rumble suffered a bit from knowing none of the first 14 people had a chance of winning the match which goes against my not wanting an ironman performance. Bayley didn't need to win from #3. Gunther came out too soon after Cody. I probably would have saved him for last especially because Sami coming out felt like a disappointment.

Ehh….
The action was good, the eliminations made sense, but no one but Cody or Punk had a chance in hell to win it. In years past they have done better job keeping it entertaining when the winner was obvious.
Plus there was a few times in the rumble this year I noticed everyone in the ring was from Raw. It didn’t help the rumble was missing some of the biggest names from Smackdown due to fatal fourway and the us title match.

Mixed bag. I think the Women's Rumble was good this year. Men's Rumble was just boring though.
