He should feud with Drew. Based solely on Drew looking like a god damn killer. Out of those final guys, Drew looked the best by a mile. The speed and strength and intensity. Dude is a beast. Watching gassed Punk trying to keep up made it clearer. Problem with Drew is that dude has an awful PPV record since WM37 and has failed to get the job done when the title was on the line. Drew is a great wrestler, but he really needs some big wins before he takes on Cody.

Who’s a good face to build him up? That he could beat and gain something?

A pretty average forgettable title run.

It's like how Nakamura was never gonna be a believable threat to beat Cody for their short feud.

I would have Sami Zayn face him at 'mania, he can made Drew look like a beast and as a natural underdog, a loss to Drew won't hurt.

I always thought he'd have a run through like, SummerSlam and drop it to Gunther but if Gunther is World Champion, that's interesting.
If he's going to Smackdown, then I could see programs with the likes of Orton, Solo, Logan Paul, or Lashley. On Raw, there's Balor/Priest, Seth, Drew, Punk, and Gunther.

He should challenge Sareee.

Dude's got basically a locker room full of people he's never faced in the WWE or hasn't faced in years.
AJ, Finn, Gunter, Orton...

I'm tired of long heel runs with babies chasing..Let's let Cody have about 4 months of being the Hogan/Cena of today and if it's working go from there.
I know Seth is a baby and he's champion but it doesn't feel like it counts for some reason.

We don't need to go full WCW 2000, but every title on the roster has basically been in death grips of people for way too long for WAY too long. The US title is the only single title that has been held less tahn 100 days and by mania it will surpass 100 days. The only title that seems to ever change hands is the WWE Women's Tag Team because the WWE has never really seemed to care about them.

I’m kinda surprised at the Cody hate. If not Cody and Roman who do y’all want to have those titles?
He’s probably going to have a good run for like 6 months and lose it to Gunther. Is that not what most of the crowd would want?

All I know is he needs to win.
They goosed their biggest show of the year with a bullshit ending last time to give Roman more time.
WWE built an entire year around prepping for Cody's reign.
Onus is on them now. Do your best.

Knowing Triple H's booking patterns, Gunther beats him at Backlash and holds the title for two years

Hopefully he loses it immediately. I have no interest in watching the least likable babyface in history on top Dude, please do me a solid and watch Eddie Edwards Impact 2018 or Mr Anderson in TNA, Or Kane 2004-2005. I can't recall Cody breaking down in front of Tommy Dreamer because he stopped him from murdering Sami Callihan or forcing Lita to marry him then getting her pregnant.

This is what i would do/want to see -
Cody beats Reigns at Wrestlemania and then moves to Smackdown (obviously)
Reigns disappears for a while and moves onto something else. Cody says he finally moving on from Bloodline drama and faces a lower card guy at Backlash. He then moves on to Randy Orton which leads to a big rivalry for a few months. Cody beats him at Summerslam and is attacked after the match by The Final Testament who have been built up over the summer with a few big wins. Cody defends against Kross and barely survives but is once again attacked. He needs help so approaches AJ/Gallows/Anderson. This leads to Wargames (Cody, AJ, Gallows, Anderson vs Kross, Akam, Razar and a fourth). Cody's team wins and then on the following Smackdown The OC turn on Cody leading to a big AJ/Cody feud for the end of the year
Cody defends against a random opponent at the Rumble/EC and then defends against the winner of the Royal Rumble (hopefully Gunther)

Cody is WWE's most credible face right now. Then you have maybe Seth.
Then it's how goddamn far down before you get to the third? Like I am not taking anything away from LA Knight, he's over, but he's still building his credibility, and could really stand to win the US title and run with that for a spell before I'm willing to commit to saying he should be a world champion in WWE.
Give Cody probably 6 months. You had him chase for as long as you did, you don't need to be in a huge hurry to take it off the guy. In the meantime, develop some other people, too, because they got real lax on that for a while and it's bitten them, even if the situation isn't as dire as it was a year or two ago.

I'm going to guess extended feud with Shinsuke Nakamura in which Nakamura loses repeatedly.
