So I believe the streak needed to be ended looking back in retrospect, and Brock was the perfect person to do it at the time, and it led to Brock putting over Roman, Seth, Drew, and Cody. However Brock (although I doubt he will be Benoited forever) breaking the streak from today’s perspectiv… probably not the best call. Who would you have had end the streak if not Brock? Or would you just not end it. I think Cena would have been the best option at mania 30, and then he turns heel, and do the same with him as you do with Brock, except cut shorter because of his movie schedule

Roman. I would have just had Taker beat Brock clean at 30, then Roman beats Taker with the help of The Usos at WrestleMania 33. Paul Heyman appears at the end of the show and Roman nods, and then we're off to the races with The Bloodline at that point. Heyman gets his revenge on Taker for beating Brock, too. I think a heel Roman at that point is more interesting than the two-three years of Brock being a part-time champ.

I think it did have to end, as there is a big deal in wrestling about "doing the honors" before you hang the boots up or move to a new territory. The Shield's individual pushes started right after Mania 30, so I would have chosen one of them, likely Roman, but maybe Seth.

I'd have had Orton beat him at WM21. Orton was in his legend killer gimmick then and it would have been perfect. That was number 13.
After that ship sailed though, I wouldn't have had anyone beat him. The streak became too big to be beaten.

Does it have to be at WM 30? If so here's is my pitch.
HHH and Daniel Bryan in the ring. HHH says, "If you want to prove you are worthy of the WWE championship main event, you got to prove you can beat the best (the assumption is that HHH is talking about himself). The winner will be put into the title match." Daniel Bryan accepts the challenge and says, "I'll see you at Wrestlemania!". HHH says, "Oh I didn't say me...I said the BEST! (*GONG lights out)
Daniel Bryan carries the broken down Taker into an awesome match, and does the unthinkable when he breaks the streak.
But my real preference is that the streak never got broken. Undertaker should have retired right after the End of an Era match.

If it had to happen to anyone, I always wanted Orton or Barrett.

Edge or Orton in their matches.
Edge because he had his own streak, though they stupidly had Edge lose the MITB match the year before he faced Taker watch broke his own streak.
Or Orton during his Legend Killer run.
The streak absolutely should have been broken though. I've no idea why you'd want Undertaker to go out without putting someone over huge at Mania.

I get the argument, but Undertaker deserved his own unique accolade. Despite his longevity he was never "the guy." He never caused backstage problems in an era where it ran rampant. Like he was the "best soldier."

Though he is problematic now...Ric Flair at WrestleMania 18. If just because of this: Plus that would have made it 9-1 and not HAVE to be the crutch they relied on for so long.

I think Brock worked out in the sense almost NO ONE saw it coming. Like, we all thought it was just another Taker squash.
In that sense, I wouldn't change it.

It was built up for 20 years and gave us one of the more shocking in-ring moments ever. I don't get why people would choose a statistic over that. Brock was the best, safe option. However, in hindsight, using it to start Tribal Chief Roman would've been perfect.
