For the record, my Picks (posted yesterday after Smackdown): McIntyre, Lynch, Ripley, Judgment Day, Kabuki Warriors
Happy Birthday Corey Graves. What a way to celebrate your 40th Birthday by sitting next to Michael Cole for 3 hours in the hot Australian sun calling a WWE PPV.
BTW, I fast forwarded through the Chamber Kickoff until the Women's Tag Title Match.
Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae VS The Kabuki Warriors was a great match on the Kickoff. I am so happy that Indi got to wrestle in her home country & hear that ovation. It's OK that she lost. MY PICKS: 1 for 1.
How did Kevin Owens get a Koala? That would be a cool pet to bring home to his kids but I don't think you're allowed to transport animals from other countries.
Awesome opening video using highlights of last year's Chamber Matches, but there was no footage to hype the Tag Title Match. The crowd looks incredible as well as the set. This feels like a WrestleMania.
The Chamber looks amazing. Mike Rome's intro gave me goosebumps. Love Bianca Belair's tribute to Princess Leia, Raquel Rodriguez looked good, Tiffany Stratton looked nervous, Liv Morgan looked great, Naomi & Becky Lynch will be a great way to start. Love Becky's tribute to Scott Hall. Becky Lynch & Naomi had a good run against each other. I like Tiffany Stratton coming in hot at #3, but I still don't get the point of posting the WWE 2K24 Ratings. I love the cameras & mics in the other Pods. Very innovative. Lynch, Naomi, & Stratton had a good run. Liv Morgan came in on fire as #4.
What a move by Naomi & nice way for Tiffany Stratton to eliminate Naomi. It's weird they changed the rules. They have had pinfalls take place outside the ring on the platforms. Good showing by Raquel Rodriguez out of the gate. Nice start for Bianca Belair out of her pod. What a series of moves off the Pod with Morgan, Lynch, & Stratton. Morgan with the elimination of Stratton. The crowd is upset, but Stratton had a breakout performance. Rodriguez was impressive with the double Tejano Bomb & then Belair with KOD to eliminate Rodriguez. Beautiful shot of the Australian Sunset. What a final sequence with Belair, Lynch, & Morgan. Any one of them could have won & I would be happy, but it was expected that Lynch would win. MY PICKS: 2 for 2.
Cool video showing Perth.
I like Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne's new name as New Catch Republic, but now there's 2 factions with Catch in their name, as there's the No Quarter Catch Crew in NXT. But we have New Day & Judgment Day, so it's fine. Their music is OK.
Holy crap, The crowd is incredible booing the hell out of Dominik Mysterio. I couldn't hear him.
New Catch Republic VS The Judgment Day was excellent. Bate & Dunne will be Champs one day. JD McDonagh didn't come to Australia, but I guess Dominik Mysterio's there to meet Mami's family. Why did the screen go black? MY PICKS: 3 for 3.
What's good about watching the replay? No commercials. It went right to the Grayson Waller Effect.
I have to give credit to Seth Rollins. Even after having knee surgery, he hasn't missed a single episode of Raw & he traveled halfway around the world for a Talk Show Segment. The crowd is unbelievable singing Rollins' theme & then Cody Rhodes' theme. Wow, Rhodes got pyro for a Talk Segment. If he got that, what's he going to get at WrestleMania? How come Austin Theory doesn't get a chair? That's not fair he has to stand up. As much as the segment with Waller, Theory, Rhodes, & Rollins was good, it was a waste of time. This was a Raw Segment not a PPV Segment. They should have had another match instead. Damn, Theory got destroyed. Nice of his buddy Waller to allow it to happen.
I like LA Knight & Drew McIntyre being the 1st Entrants to continue their match from Smackdown last night. I love Knight banging McIntyre's head into the Kevin Owens' pod. The commentators were muted for a while. I wonder why. Owens was on fire coming out. That's cool that he did the chokeslam. Fun sequence with Knight, McIntyre, & Owens. And then Bobby Lashley gets added to the mix. Good segment with Knight, McIntyre, Owens, & Lashley, as Randy Orton enters the Chamber. Fun segment with Knight, McIntyre, Owens, Lashley, & Orton. Damn, I hope Orton's OK. I don't want to see him miss another WrestleMania. I love KO beating up Logan Paul. BTW I love Paul writing on the pod. Lashley Spearing Paul though the Pod was incredible. Lashley was awesome despite the injured elbow. And then Lashley gets eliminated by McIntyre. Wow. Styles coming out to attack Knight was not expected. I guess we're going to get the 1st match between 2 wrestlers with Initials as their 1st name in WrestleMania History. Fun run for Owens. I guess we're getting Owens VS Paul at WrestleMania.
Great final sequence with McIntyre, Orton, & Paul. Maybe, it will be Orton VS Paul at WrestleMania which could be good. I love the story of Orton's back. And I figured McIntyre would win, but not like that. That was stupid. MY PICKS: 4 for 4.
What an amazing reaction for Rhea Ripley. I am so happy that she got to main event a WWE PPV in her home country in front of her family. She deserves it.
Rhea Ripley VS Nia Jax was awful. As much as it was great for Rhea to main event in her home country, this should have not closed the show. The Men's Chamber Match should have been the main event. MY PICKS: 5 for 5.
Here are my Chamber Match Rankings:
The Men's Chamber Match
The Women's Chamber Match
No Catch Republic VS The Judgment Day
Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae VS The Kabuki Warriors
Rhea Ripley VS Nia Jax
EXIT 9 on the Road to WrestleMania: Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia was a great show. I didn't think it would have been worth losing sleep over, but I enjoyed everything but the main event.
NEXT STOP: EXIT 10: Raw in San Jose, CA
Here are my Elimination Chamber Facts & Stats:
This was the 1st PPV since Super Showdown on October 6, 2018 to take place in Australia. The only wrestlers to be on both shows were: Bobby Lashley, Becky Lynch, Drew McIntyre, Liv Morgan, Naomi, & Kevin Owens.

As of Elimination Chamber, The Kabuki Warriors’ Women’s Tag Team Championship Reign has lasted 29 Days, so if they would have lost, they would have been the 1st to lose in 29 Days, which is the 4th Shortest Reign of All-Time ahead of Asuka & Alexa Bliss (10/31/22 – 11/5/22, 5 Days), Aliyah & Raquel Rodiguez (8/29/22 -9/12/22, 14 Days), & Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez’s 2nd Reign (7/1/23 – 7/17/23, 16 Days).
