This was brought up in the Cody Thread, and while I agree it was part of the Domino Effect, the actual starting Domino is "Black Adam bombs at the box office", like legitimately imo.

Jack Perry was a solution in search of a problem.

I blame Christian. If he doesn't turn on Jack Perry and send him down this dark real glass chasing path this doesn't happen
Actually I blame Vince. If he didn't put a dot on Christian's face, Christian stays in WWE and none of this happens

You could even make the argument that CM Punk getting injured at All Out 2022 started the cycle (causing him to spiral at the scrum, planting the seeds that would force him to be siloed on Collision as its warlord), or maybe you go back a little bit more to Hangman planting the trigger in Punk's mind about worker's rights, or maybe you go back even further to Punk and Colt getting sued by WWE's doctor. Hell, Punk walking out after Royal Rumble 2014 inadvertently led to the drama following Royal Rumble 2024.
Punk really is the New Nexus of everything.

"Jack Perry and The Butterfly effect" sounds like a super pretentious Math Rock band with overly elaborate stage shows

Off topic but the Butterfly Effect was a great and surprisingly dark movie that never got the praise it deserved because Ashton Kutcher starred in it (and he was really good in it as well).

Christian Cage was right about Jack Perry. He's a piece of shit. They raised a piece of shit.

I blame Krusty the Clown. He should have been a better uncle and role model to his nephew.

I think we can all blame this whole ordeal on Jungle Boy's cousin, Marvin Perry, for introducing him to "that new glass he was looking for!"

It starts with Punk’s post match joke at Hangman’s expense which fell flat with Punk even calling Hangman to apologize. The very next day the stories about Punk banning people from Collision were leaked (by who we don’t know but a message to Punk to knock it off). This prompted Punk or his people (FTR) to leak the fake glass story painting Punk as a locker room leader. This embarrassed Perry who felt scapegoated as he believed the matter had been resolved he also felt misrepresented as Punk was selective with the details leaked.
Perry takes a verbal shot at Punk in London that 95% of viewers wouldn’t get or care about, Punk overreacts and now Gabriel Iglesias is upset on Twitter.

Dude referring to himself as "The Scapegoat" was outright visionary self-nicknaming.

"Jack Perry and The Butterfly effect" sounds like a super pretentious Math Rock band with super elaborate stage shows Or a west coast psychedelic pop group who released one critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful album in 1968, before disappearing into obscurity.

If you follow the threads far enough, all of pro wrestling's problems can be blamed on Frank Gotch, history's greatest monster.

"Jack Perry and The Butterfly effect" sounds like a super pretentious Math Rock band with super elaborate stage shows Or a west coast psychedelic pop group who released one critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful album in 1968, before disappearing into obscurity. “The Fourth Pillar” was always a bit meandering, but “Cry Me a River” was probably the best album closer of that era after “Day In the Life” on Sgt. Pepper’s.
