Now that we see where they have pivoted to with Rock at Wrestlemania.
Let's look back at the entire Roman Reigns Universal title reign.
Which show was the exact moment to you where Roman should've lost the title?
I can see the answers being many from Drew, to Sami to Knight to Cody.

Sami easily.
If people really believed the shit they post about “story” they would realize it was absolutely not the time for Cody last year. But they don’t.

Cesaro, Drew, Sami, Cody, Bryan or Edge taking it to not end the first show back in front of an audience on a giant middle finger even if they dropped it back right away, KO, Knight, Jey, any of these would've been fine.

Sami easily. If people really believed the shit they post about “story” they would realize it was absolutely not the time for Cody last year. But they don’t. Sami defending it against his new friend Cody would've been an amazing face vs. face title match at 39. Plus, Sami gets a reign in, albeit one month, but at least he won the title. And Cody gets the win and celebration at 39, they both embrace and we get a new era. Honestly, it's win-win. Plus Sami was RED HOT last year in his hometown.

I feel like time has kind of shown Cody was the better investment than Sami if only because even after how badly they've used him Cody's remained incredibly over while Sami, while he's not coming out to crickets, is just another guy at this point.

I despise long title reigns so I would have been happy with the run ending at Wrestlemania 37.

Quite a few guys became just another guy once they lost to Roman sadly. Sami Knight Jey Drew 4 hot babyface acts going into the match with Roman. All lost and just came out another guy. You are right, Cody is the exception, he came out okay after his loss. But it could be worse, they fed Daniel Bryan to Roman 3 times in all loses before his contract was up. They were lucky there were no fans at the time, or they would crap on Roman going over Daniel like that.

They should have had Theory cash in at Clash at the Castle for just the WWE championship and had Drew pin Theory to win it.
That way you keep the actual WWE Championship, Cody going for that this year would have felt much less of a blow.

Sami...and that should have been at Wrestlemania. Everyone complaining about The Rock this week; where were you last year when Sami worked his butt off all year and became the most over guy in the company? All while Cody was out with an injury then he came back and was handed #30 in the Rumble and stole the top spot that Sami earned in his absence?
People are comparing the Rock to Hulk Hogan. No, the Rock is Cody Rhodes. He left WWE to become an even bigger star, and now he's back to take the Wrestlemania main event from the guy that worked all year to earn it. That guy being Cody is just a hilarious irony. How's that for a story ending!

There were a bunch of chances but I was a huge advocate for Sami getting his moment at EC/Mania. He still ended up getting a great one night one anyways

voted Drew at clash at the castle, first wwe ppv in the UK in a long arse time, the show was built around it being in his "back yard", usually the crowd goes home happy at the end of a ppv but this one went home angry and confused about a random karaoke session between a boxer and a wrestler who just lost.
it's like wwe went out of their way to cut off Drew's characters testicles and shit on the majority of UK based fans.

I actually thought Finn should've won after his Hulk up. Sami beating him made the most sense out of anyone, though.

CATC was the angriest wrestling's made me since I was a kid, and seeing what's happened with The Bloodline story since then has made me wish Drew won even more.

From a pure storyline perspective, Sami at EC.
Business-wise, I'm not sure they regret any of those decisions. But now they've really run out of steam with The Bloodline since Jay left so one way or another it should end at WrestleMania.
