Danhausen's a thing where I kind of mildly enjoyed it for a few weeks but think it's gotten extremely old. Kind of not really helped by how the man himself seems exhausting to deal with. I’ve said this elsewhere but I can’t shake the feeling that even Danhausen is bored with being Danhausen at this point.

I am not asking for "SERIOUSHAUSEN", but I do think he could stand to show a bit of a mean streak if you want to liven him up. Don't even really need to turn him heel, just have a heel really push it into a territory where he gets personal and Danhausen can't just brush it off with a curse. I don't know if Danhausen can do that style, but I think a Finn Balor/Demon kind of thing would work for him. A mostly comedy goober jobber who can tap into this absolute lunatic side that would only work in no dq/hardcore matches. Make him a special attraction in that regard.

Danhausen is a really awesome character that I have zero interest in seeing in the ring. TK signed him so he could get a cut of that sweet, sweet Danhausen merch money Nailed it.

They probably couldn't work him into the latest Joe Bob Shudder special (Joe Bob's Very Violent Valentine, this Friday on ShudderTV) unlike the last one where he literally had the host nearly converted (mutated?) into a JoeBobHausen.

People are turning on the awesomeness that is Danhausen….. We are truly living in the darkest timeline 🤦🏼♂️ I started losing some interest in him when his online gimmick more or less became disgruntled face-painted CM Punk fan. I get that they're legit friends, which by all means, is awesome for them. Though, to be fair that came during the time when he was injured, so the frustration is understandable. That being said, if he's not happy where he's at, wait his contract out and go travel the indies again. Dude was making a killing before he got signed, he should have no problem doing it again. Maybe a gimmick change or tweak will do wonders. Going by recent IG posts, Warhorse recently changed his entire gimmick and he looks more motivated than ever.

I hate even bringing him up because it's such a cliche, but he is sort of the go-to example for this archetype: The Joker in my iterations of Batman is a complete buffoon... until he isn't and many people are dead. A silly as ever Danhausen who sometimes busts people wide open with his railroad spike while still acting like he's having a good time as "Good" Danhausen would be a nice wrinkle to add to give him some gravitas, but the commentators and the other wrestlers in the ring would have to play it off as serious as a heart attack

The Danhausen act seems something way more up WWE's alley, because they're more open to broad comedy (see R-Truth), but at the same time, they'd probably change bits and pieces of the act before getting it to TV, which would largely defeat the purpose.

He makes his debut on an episode of NXT interacting with people backstage, and the show ends with Danhausen just saying "You people are weird."

People are turning on the awesomeness that is Danhausen….. We are truly living in the darkest timeline 🤦🏼♂️ If you rail against AEW, you’re gonna get heat. I don’t know what the answer is because he is a particular niche type of character. He’s successful merch-wise and with the crowd.. But his character doesn’t translate to the universe if in-ring product AEW tends to be. Conversely, he’s so far out there as a character, WWE might fumble/not be interested in him either. He might be better off in the indies or TNA.

It sucks that they apparently have him spinning his wheels and they should figure something out for him to do, but I think Danhausen is kinda whack. I got into his YouTube videos during the pandemic and thought they were kinda funny but it just does not translate into wrestling for me. It’s kind of how I felt about Bray Wyatt (not to speak ill of the dead), he had massive amounts of creativity and an interesting vision for his character but it’s just never translated into me wanting to see him wrestle a match. Whether this is on the talent themselves or the company mishandling then or a bit of both, I can’t really say.

Him destroying someone with a weapon (I like the railroad spike) only for him to do his waddle around the ring and then so his curse pose to a bloody victim and then turn to the camera with his stupid smile whilst the commentators are shocked silent would be impactful. Plus he is a comic nerd so he’d have the know how on how to do it “properly”

Speaking of… The WARHORSE (like MF Doom said..’ALL CAPS when you spell the man name…’) thing was really well done, honestly. I legit thought for a second “huh, maybe he is legit done…” before it became pretty obvious it was an angle for him.

Well he's working for GCW in March. My guess is he's not going to resign with AEW whenever his deal is up, either by his own volition or because AEW's just going to let him walk.
