No. It takes quite a while to build up that "oh god not him again" feeling.

One does not simply become a local man, one has to be born with that energy in one's soul.

I'd say so, he's certainly not coming in to put anyone over like Cena did last year. Cena should have pulled clout last year. That Theory match did absolutely nothing for anyone and was embarrassing. That match was a whole nothing burger, I was there live for it and the crowd just sat there until the Fatal 4-way tag match took place. I like Theory but I'm glad they stopped his mega push.

I forget who it was or how they put it but not really- Kane and Big Show are the Local Men, the Local Men are Kane and Big Show. Nobody else can join, or be one of another era, they're the Local Men forever. They put it much better than I am but to me at least, nobody else can ever be a Local Man. But holy crap if they push through with this and actually do just do Rock/Roman, Rock's the closest we've ever had to the third man of the Local World Order. God I loved the local men meme 🤣

The Rock can’t be a local man via satellite. Nah, he’s the next coming of Blue-tista. Just not as talented as an actor. Or self-aware enough as a person to realize how this is gonna play out.
And unlike Batista, Rocky’s not gonna go on a tear of amazing movie roles that make wrestling fans look back fondly on him taking the spot of the people’s choice.
Seriously, I get that the Rock is the biggest action star of the last 20 years or whatever, but have ANY of the movies (let alone his particular roles in them) been particularly memorable? He plays Dwayne Johnson in all of them. What’s worse, even when he returns to wrestling, he’s STILL playing Dwayne rather than The Rock.

Yeah, Kane and Big Show were it...simply because they were around FOREVER, had already been beaten a million times to the moon and back, and we're still treated like "oh they're capable of beating the top guy" when that was never ever ever EVER the case.
I mean heck, Cena beat Big Show so many times at one point, they had to handicap Cena by throwing him through a SPOTLIGHT as if to illustrate that an injured Cena could lose to Big Show this time.
It was laughable. They were a total waste of time and had zero credibility and zero drawing power. Two more valuable wrestlers didn't have a job because of these two goofs.

No, and it's silly to even suggest it because you're mad over something that hasn't been confirmed yet to my knowledge. Your icon sells it.

Nah, not after that press conference. Unlike Kane and Big Show, the Rock sees where things are headed and they adjust accordingly. I appreciate it.
