During the pandemic Thunderdome era we had these two stables form.
Retribution was a complete act during this era and the we got the last weakening/disbanding era of the Hurt Business when crowds returned, but not prime Hurt Business period in 2020.
If these stables both had live crowds to work in front of would they do better?
Would the fans get behind one or the other or both or would they simply reject both acts of it's time if there were audiences in 2020?

The Hurt Business would have been huge but there was no saving Retribution, i doubt they would have ever garnered any reaction at all.

Retribution was one of the stupidest stables of all time from the mind of a senile old dirtbag.

Retribution would have been an absolute disaster with the crowds and now I'm so sad we didn't get to see that.

The Hurt Business had live crowds for a while, and were getting big reactions before Vince decided to punish Shelton and Cedric for getting over without his permission.

That RAW that ended with Retribution taking out the main event only for the Hurt Business to show up in suits and ties and win a 4 on 25 beat down. Bloody hell, if that had a live audience, all of the Hurt Business are made men for life.

How many times have they hinted at reforming Hurt Business? It felt like it was being teased to varying degrees ever since crowds came back and it went nowhere each time for various reasons.

It looked like it was for sure happening a while back when they had MVP talking to Shelton and Cedric in the background of other backstage segments. But it never came to fruition. A real shame.

Retribution: "We're here...to OCCUPY the WWE!!! WWE Superstars, you better be on watch for the chaotic shenanigans we will cause right here in this very ring!"
*Crowd somehow more silent than Retribution promos in front of no crowd*

Retribution would be met with apathy and "boring" chants at worst, laughter and derision at best.

I would bring back Retribution for one night only just for Dijak and Mia Yim to bury them.

I'm still mad about the Hurt Business. It had sooo much time and potential left.

Didn't Cedrick or Shelton evne start wearing new Hurt Business gear around htis time?

This is like asking “What’d get better live crowd reactions, announcing everyone in the audience gets $50 or announcing everyone in the audience has to give $50?”

Hurt Business was a great group and failed due to Vince being an idiot rather than anything to do with crowds.
Retribution would have failed with 0 fans or all the fans. It was rubbish.

Despite the poll, I think Retribution woukd have got over better with a live crowd cos of the start being a bit bigger and they would have been able to do more with it. It would have subsequently failed but it would have got over to start with.
Hurt business, it makes no difference if the crowd was there or not. It was still two charisma vacuums who would have had the same great matches but failed again to connect with a live crowd like they did before or since cos Bobby was the only person there a crowd would care about.

If Retribution was in front of a live crowd I wonder if they would have disclaimered to the audience too "What you're about to see is NOT POLITICAL, I repeat there are NO POLITICS HAPPENING HERE".

Any chance Retribution would have had with a live crowd (note: they would have had none) would’ve gone clean out the window the moment they said their names were Slapjack, T-Bar, Mace, and the like.
