That shit was fire. I can’t believe they let Punk even indirectly take a shot at Vince. And Drew’s you don’t take drugs or drink alcohol, but your always still in rehab

Seth stepped up against Rock on the mic a week or two ago but he wasn’t as strong here. He didn’t have anything on the level of “for someone who doesn’t drink or do drugs you spend a lot of time in rehab” or “you had to put my face on your shirt to become a best seller.”
I think they want you to think Punk is going to screw over Drew but I can see a Summerslam 97 style thing like Punk trying to stop Drew from cheating etc but somehow ending up costing Seth instead.

I can't believe we live in a timeline where Drew McIntyre absolutely lapped CM Punk on the mic and in a segment but holy f***ing shit
DM Hunk is that dude.

The Punk/Seth/Drew back and forths were their finest yet in the programme. In fact, it was so good it may have just been an unofficial triple threat match. only they sparred with words (mixed in with a lot of motion and minor physicality)
Punk name-dropped the Jim Cornette experience and drive-through podcasts. Makes sense since Corny's done nothing but praise him most of the time and took his side in the Brawl-In/Brawl Out debates. Punk also called out Drew being 'the chosen one' as the invention of someone they can no longer identify, so what does that even mean anymore?
Drew telling the cameraman not to shoot up his skirt and calling him a 'perv', telling Punk he didn't have to be a drug addict to always be in rehab, parodying Eminem, a nice blend of twitter talk in his heel persona is gold
Seth probably was the weakest between the three of them, not really getting in any decent digs, but him sticking to the basics of the script was better as it shows he's interested in having a match, and he got the 'last word' by backing it up with action.

Ever since his heel turn in late 2023, Drew has been very entertaining to watch while absolutely killing it on the mic as well given that his promo battles with Punk, Rhodes and Rollins has been must-see. This has been one of his best works so far. Between him and Rock, it's hard to pick of who is the most hated heel in WWE given that Rock gave Cody a bloody beatdown in the rain.

Loved it. It was one of those segments that was an absolute blast because you can tell all the guys involved were having fun with their material. There’s times when you can tell guys are just doing a job as opposed to having fun, and it really shows in what they do.

Never in a million years would I have thought C.M Punk Vs Drew Mac would be a money feud/match.
Great, great segment. Firing on all cylinders.

Seth was just kinda there, and between using “lol you wear a skirt” as an insult and namedropping Cornette’s podcasts Punk continues to show who he really is as a person beneath his progressive facade. But Drew continues to be fantastic and is basically carrying Raw’s title scene on his back. Strap him up and pay him whatever he wants because he’s more than earned it.

That was a great segment, and it seemed like there was a bunch of ab libbing which made it even better. A promo where you react based on the crowd and common sense rather than scripted talking points is very noticeable.
With that said, either Punk was holding back or he’s slipping a bit on the mic. There was a moment where he was trying to set the crowd up for a CM Punk chant (something like “tell him who you paid to see” or something like that) and the crowd completely no sold it. Drew is great on the mic and is quick witted.
Rollins not only seemed to drag things down but he comes off as a massive heel, which may or may not be the intention. I want Drew to kick Seth’s ass either way.

Also, as much as everyone is saying “ I love the improvising”, “ love the ad-libbing”, yes, me too. But the trap in this is always in ppl screeching “don’t script them!” Wrong. I think, actually. I think you need to script them. Give them structure. But keep it loosey goosey in advising to improv, ad lib, and keep things coming off raw, messy and authentic. But you need those rails to get the performers back on track.

CM Punk bigging up Jim Cornette in 2024 and making a "lol you wear a skirt" joke to Mcintyre again shows us the type of guy he is.
Mcintyre is killing it though, he's 100% the babyface to me in this whole feud.

Punk's in a weird spot because he's the guy that the younger guys take shots at now when that was his thing ten years ago. I thought the promo was fine, felt a little like the greatest hits, but it was fine. I also tend to think he probably was told to let them get in their shots given the match at Mania is between those two and Punk's not involved.
That said, Seth was definitely the weakest point of it.

I loved it! It felt so free and natural. Completly realistic interactions and off the cuff. No forced Vinceisms and buzzwords.
Take the world title for instance. Rewatching old stuff when guys would say "the world wrestling federation champion", or they might say "the wwf champion" or refer to it as a "title", a "belt" etc. They didnt have to say the full thing every single time they mentioned it in a totally unnatural way.

He's supposed to be this super progressive guy but he's giving shoutouts on live TV to a noted racist and misogynist and making "lol gay" jokes at Drew for wearing a kilt. Like you said, it will just encourage that toxic section of fans now.

Great segment. They all killed it.
That Vince stuff though, that was the bullet for me. You can't get more ruthless than that. That shit was wild.
