Not much that can be done if Drew just waits them out. Can’t force him to sign and he has a ton of leverage right now. |

They wouldve gotten Henrys level of fan support if they didnt spend the time retweeting posts asking for Dalton to get fired and trashing his skills
I didn’t see any retweets like that. Just retweeting stuff about why they would cut The Boys and leave Dalton alone considering they’re integral to his act. I saw one or 2 that were pretty negative towards Dalton but I'm giving the Boys the benefit of the doubt and guessing they are just looking at tweets supporting them. But either way, whether Tony lied or not, I REALLY do not think going scorched earth like they're teasing is a good idea |

Not that any of these are slam dunk assurances of going to AEW or anything but there's a pretty interesting pending free agent class this year. Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, etc. At the very least, I expect them to play the market if only to get the biggest deal possible even if they intend to stay with WWE. |

Not that any of these are slam dunk assurances of going to AEW or anything but there's a pretty interesting pending free agent class this year. Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, etc. At the very least, I expect them to play the market if only to get the biggest deal possible even if they intend to stay with WWE. she's probably the least over in WWE right now out of the three but damn if Becky in AEW would be super fascinating. we've all talked a lot about how Mone joining would force the women's division to change but Becky joining would absolutely make Tony put a huge emphasis on the women's division. |

But either way, whether Tony lied or not, I REALLY do not think going scorched earth like they're teasing is a good idea I think if Tony lied about them no-showing events during a publicized presser then they’re within their rights to fight back against that in order to defend their image. That can have negative repercussions on them being booked by others. |

yeah for both of ya, it would be awesome. i like what she's doing right now with rhea but it does feel like she's done just about everything there is to do there and reached the very peak of the mountain. its so hard to imagine either of them leaving though.
imagine a becky lynch who can be even more of herself against this version of toni storm.. might be the funniest feud in aew history if it happened

If anything, I don't think Tony or the Boys are necessarily lying here. I don't know, it all feels like a case of "- Hey, underling #1, we need to tighten up the budget, here, I don't have the time to deal with the ROH side of it all right now, could you see if some contracts can be cut, here and there ? - Yes, Mr Khan, we've got one guy who got injured during an indy date and won't come back for a while, a couple of supporting acts that no-showed a few shows, and a bunch of PPA contracts we're not using. - Okay, I trust you, go ahead and cut them..."

Sharing posts crapping on Dalton is crazy to me. I know Dalton's lost a few steps due to injuries but even worn down he is still the standout guy in that act, not the interchangeable twinks in masks.

It's just, we sure are hearing a lot of references to AEW trying to book people at the last minute. While obviously the biggest problem would be if they then punish people who say no (and maliciously spin it as "not showing up to work"), no matter what it's obvious signs of shit that is definitively not together.
Ugh, I know there's a lot I don't know, but it's hard to resist the growing contempt I have for Tony Khan. For all that he's done well in facilitating a decent and healthy backstage culture, the fact that he clearly mostly cares about constantly amassing expensive new toys he can play with (until he gets bored) is really hurting the quality of the writing and potentially even the company's professionalism. If booking the undercard is the afterest of afterthoughts, to the point they're seriously day-of going, "Who do we have on contract that lives in this city?" that's a bad bad sign.
