Might be Indies or retirement for him if he doesn't wanna grind up. what you mean by "grind up?" Like get more reps on the Indies, get better on the lower levels In WWE and AEW he essentially walked in with almost no matches under his belt to get a rocket to his back and neither time did he hold enough water, and he was given opportunities to do so He'd likely need a run on a lower end promotion or something, so I expect NWA to sign him  |

Releasing Anthony Henry, especially when injured, is just f***ing stupid.
Dalton without the Tates is horrible. I mean, he's had other Boys, but they've never worked as well as the Tates do with him.
And sure, RUSH is injured, but where are Preston Vance and Dralistico? Certainly they could've been in the tag tournament and certainly Jose the Assistant didn't need to be fired.

I wonder if Dalton will get new Boys that aren't the Tates. Probably go with local talent our having some clearly recognisable lower midcarders under the mask as a joke. |

I like Dalton a lot and his act is fun but I also feel like he's designed to be at a certain level doing that in perpetuity. It could be a risk to try something new but he's talented enough to evolve the act as time goes by.

Weird to think now how along ago Smash Bros wear tearing up PWG with tons of other AEW and WWE names, like they were part of that insane Threemendous III ladder match. Always better than their usage would suggest to people. They had amazing and funny matches just all the time. They also had some real great matches in CHIKARA... before Quack basically drove them out by forcing Stu into a mask. I like Dalton a lot and his act is fun but I also feel like he's designed to be at a certain level doing that in perpetuity. As sad as I am for the talent being let go, from a business perspective, this is long overdue. The roster is far too stacked and there were so many talents not being used or had reached the end of their shelf life.
I'd go deeper personally and look at some of those (not naming names) who have been there since day 1 who have nothing left to offer.

While,purely as TV experience I think focusing is good. TK's ability to choose who he focus on is ...spotty. I can't name you many people who Tony has focused on TV wise that shouldn't be getting the TV time that they are, I know Jericho is a easy example due to being stale right now but even Jericho has merit to being on TV, the people released outside of Stu I couldn't tell you had a ton of ability to progress on this roster as of now, and if the report on Stu is believed, he might not have really wanted to progress, just wasn't feeling it on his end. |
