Bobby Lashley beat Reigns to face Lesnar at SS18, only for Reigns/Lashley to face each other again the next week with no mention of Lashley having won the no.1 contender spot. Reigns then faces Lesnar at Summerslam.
All of Styles/Nakamura feud was designed by someone that’s never encountered a coherent narrative in their life.

Vince also decided to have many wrestlers randomly rant about millennial on multiple occasions Except often it was delivered by someone who was a millennial themselves, most notably Becky Lynch turning against her fans for one Smackdown before a rare course correct. He didn't actually know how old a millenial is, ike Mr Burns and sideburns I could be wrong, but I seem to remember Ronda Rousey also calling someone else a millennial, while she herself was also a millennial. From what I remember it was actually Ronda cutting a promo on Becky with the usual stupid millennial avocado toast stirring and Becky pointed out they were the same age, two days apart.

This was when I was *really* all in on NJPW, Okada and crew were absolutely killing it and WWE outside of a handful of interesting stuff like Kofi and Becky becoming world champs, that one time when Orton dressed as Cyclops and assaulted legends in the dark and AJ fighting Taker in the graveyard, WWE was largely just “there”. I didn’t think it was WCW 2000 levels of horrendous, but pre-Cody/Sami and Kevin/Bloodline wars, there wasn’t much for me Up North for me to give much of a horse’s patoot about. Honestly if it wasn't for randomly stumbling upon NJPW on AXS TV during this era, I probably would've given up on wrestling altogether.

From 2010-2020, it really just seemed they were throwing the title on random guys who were not nearly over enough to be world champion

Yes. They did their best in the circumstances and there's still some fun stuff in 1995. They weren't trying to piss people off

Those years as a wrestling would be a complete nightmare without those companies

Miz actually becoming a decent underdog babyface (in contrast to his lackluster 2013 attempt) only to be undercut by the Shane McMahon feud which completely buried him is yet another example of the awful misfires from this time period. I think he was going to survive Shane just fine, but what truly killed that second babyface run was the stuff with Wyatt. The decision to have Miz, who was actually setting up something with Bryan where it looked like they might actually pair them together, lose to Bray Wyatt on PPV, not The Fiend, but regular ass Funhouse Sweater Bray Wyatt, was one of the dumbest decisions of the decade. Instead of having Miz put up a brave fight against The Fiend but being defeated, and Bryan coming to his aid and them uniting against Wyatt, which would have ruled, you made Miz look like a chump because you were trying to push the “facing Bray Wyatt changes you” thing, and it was ASS.
