Code popped up on NXT and what I gleaned from it is Howdy will likely have a stable, Matt Hardy MAY be involved judging from the BROKEN that keeps popping up along with how a silhouette is doing the WONDERFUL!!!! pose, and the Statue of Liberty and the Pyramids both have connections with France so it seems a way of saying his return is this weekend.

Possible difference here is that unlike Sony, both the legacy of Bray, current WWE and potentially Bo will at least have some fan goodwill to bank on for a bit.

It just depends how they play it.

now that we might be getting the reveal at backlash, any final predictions on who is involved?

I’m personally going with Bo/Braun/Bliss/Nikki/Spears/Gacy.

Slight trickery with Braun returning with his usual gimmick for one show and Gacy not being called up to make it too obvious. if there’s anyone I’m not sure on it would be Gacy but i’m thinking they wanted Spears new character to get a little test run. could easily take out Gacy if you want to go with Bray being the last member in spirit which iirc he is. as long as they have the first four you can throw whoever else in there

I completely agree with you in thinking Bo, Braun and Alexa. Not sure about Nikki but I wouldn't complain. I'd be a bit surprised if it was Shawn, as for Gacy...I don't mind his gimmick that he's had since he started feuding with Dijak but I'm not sure I'd want him involved.

Personally, I'd love it if Erik returned to be a part of this. 

Still, aside from it being my son's first WWE PLE this weekend, it'll give me yet another reason to look forward to Backlash on Saturday to see if the reveal IS at Backlash (I'd been thinking Summer Slam for whatever reason)

Gacy I think would be better off staying out of it and Spears just started as an agent in NXT so there's no way I could see them calling him up any time soon.

If I were to guess it's going to be Howdy, Rowan, Alexa, Nikki, and maybe Lumis.

I think you’re close. Sub out Spears and sub in Dexter Lumis and I think that’s the crew. Oh and def Rowan in some capacity

By the time he debuted in person, I feel like creative was getting derailed and Bray was starting to have health problems. I was still invested and wanted to see more, but I think there were other factors other than it just "wasn't working."

It was being slowplayed to the extreme and then ultimately dropped due to Bray’s health. I also imagine with Howdy being the main character now, there will be some changes to his presentation.

whatever Howdy/Bo does will be likely way different from how Bray did things, while keeping the spirit of his brother alive.

Uncle Howdy doing a Friday the 13th pt. 5 gimmick where he accidentally on purpose resurrects the Fiend could be good if they did it right. Get some huge dude to wear the Fiend suit and have the Funky Uncle barely able to control him or some nonsense.
