Heath Slater returns with a new theme where he says, "I'm just one man!" himself then it cuts to a farty instrumental remix of the 3MB theme.

I won't bank on it to happen due to the roster bulk in AEW but I would love to see a Sonjay Managed stable of Veer, Sanga, and Satnam, even in ROH
That would be a really cool Trio that'd mask Satnam's weaknesses, plus Jeff Jarrett being there would also just be funny.

Sanga the giant teddy bear of NXT2.0 was the best character ever. I was so mad when they made him big mad foreign heel again.

For me Veers whole mystique was dead in the water once he was paired with Sanga for no other reason that Veer was a big, scary, hairy Indian man and they paired him up with an even bigger, even scarier, even hairier Indian man.

It’s a peculiar set of releases. The main takeaway was it seems clear they’re NOT looking to expand to India after all.
And it’s like they had released people previously but tonight they were like “OH f*** WE FORGOT THE X’s!”

I had this crazy fever dream where Jinder Mahal won the WWE Championship and held it for months and months
Thank god that never happened

I'm not convinced there's that much mileage in the Million Dollar Arm stuff. It's a cool real life story, but even the movie is forgettable and lost money. If people weren't interested in watching an actual movie of what happened, I doubt they'd give a shit about a wrestling character based on it a decade later. Still, if it's that much of an open goal, presumably someone will pick him up and run with it.
Big scary foreign dude might not win any prizes for originality, but he had a better chance with that than being an inspirational baseball pitcher.
Having said that, I still think there's something in Veer and Sanga. In another era they'd have been multiple time tag champs just based off their look alone.

Here are the career TV win/loss records for the released talents:
Jinder Mahal: 97-222-3 (30.22%) Sanga: 16-10-0 (61.54%) Veer: 38-13-0 (74.51%) Xia Li: 20-46-0 (30.30%) Xyon Quinn: 20-22-0 (47.62%)
Mahal falling three matches short of hitting 100 televised wins, which I want to say is the lowest for any WWE world champion that I have completed career stats for in my project.
EDIT: It's actually not... Because of his short tenure as a full-time wrestler, Mahal actually outranks Brock Lesnar in that stat.

Man that suck, always liked Jinder and Xia and Veer have untapped potential. A shame for them but I'm sure they will bounce back.

Jinder Mahal: 97-222-3 (30.22%) I believe 96 of those wins came against Randy Orton.

Don’t forget they served up a relatively hot Nakamura to the altar of Jinder for a couple months too, with one of the weirdest and most racist heat segments in modern WWE with Jinder suddenly going all anti-Japanese outta nowhere in misguided attempt to breathe life into his utterly heatless run.

That whole era of SD is depressing to think about when you also remember how good it was in summer/fall 2016. Few shows have dropped in quality as quickly and as starkly as Litdown. It’s made all the worse by the fact Smackdown had a really good roster coming out of the shake-up, so they’d to put effort into ruining the show’s vibe. Even Owens/AJ managed to have a joyless feud in 2017, with a series of funky finishes and ultimately only existed to get Super Shane/Owens into a cell.
