f*** me I forgot Trevor Lee still existed, my mind goes PWG and TNA and hoping for bigger better things and then just nothing because he went to Florida. Love to see him tear it up with people in AEW for a while

Grimes is only 30. He’ll be back.
Feels like a go get over somewhere else and we’ll pay you the big bucks when you get back

Man, this is the first one I flat out disagree with.
Grimes has always reminded me of an Eric Young type utility player in that they're versatile as hell, and can make ANYTHING work. This is extremely disappointing.

To note, as with the other releases, Wagner and Grimes’s final TV win/loss records:
Cameron Grimes: 44-40-2 Von Wagner: 23-32-1

I hate how this is stretched out over a week. I think we all have our favorite underdogs that we wish would be given more of a spotlight.

It applies to all industries so provided it doesn’t get paused due to lawsuits it will be in effect for wrestling contracts. WWE doesn't really have non compete clauses anymore. They basically have a we are firing you in 90 days clauses. the wrestlers are still under contract and being paid for those 90 days... (30 for at least the old NXT contracts) Non Compete are you are fired and can't work in this field for X amount of days. The WWE tried to pull an actual No Compete on Brock the first time he quit right? I want to say they tried to block him from wrestling for 10 years.

When Lesnar decided to leave in 2004, his contract wasn't set to expire until 2010, so WWE wanted him to not wrestle or do MMA for 6 years. He agreed because his plan was to play in the NFL, then in 2007, he took WWE to court to get out of the deal. He also had talks with WWE about returning in 2005, but those fell through pretty fast.

Safe home "VON WAGNER, VON SURVIVOR". For some reason, one of my favorite thread titles back around the 2-3 days we all thought he was going to be in Survivor Series. I always called him "Von Survivor" afterward.
Seriously though, this sucks. All of them were earmarked to have a lot of potential and actually got over, in one way or another, at one point.
The "creative has nothing for you" spot is a really tough place to be in. I'd like to think they'd all have a role on NXT at the very least, but obviously HHH didn't think so.
Wish them all the best. I'm sure most, if not all, of them will land on their feet in due time.

Welp, Trevor Lee and Calvin Tankman becoming the DPW tag-team champions, I guess.

Trevor Lee as Cameron Grimes was so good. The fact they did NOTHING with him even after HHH took over flabbergasted me
I can see him going anywhere he wants, AEW, New Japan, Impact, all would be very lucky to have a guy like that

It's kind of gardening leave - we're letting you go, and you don't have to come in and work.

Guru Raaj, who I had never heard of, has also apparently been moved to Alumni section on their website. Last had a match in November 2022 according to Cagematch

Cuz I'm 40, work at a multi-million dollar corporation in middle management basically, and have never even heard of such a thing outside of wrestling and executives.

Anyone who believes what a soulless money grubbing corporation promises you is a fool.
WWE does this all the time yet talent still keep falling for it.
